NARS Pigalle Lipstick // Lip of the week // #34

Hello darlings.

Guess who bought another lipstick, i know slap my hands! I did buy this a while ago but my camera died and my laptop died so i bought a new one! So its all systems go! I know i have hundreds of lipsticks but i'm a sucker for a lipstick especially for lipstick that has cute packaging. This is my first ever product from NARS but i never have seen anything i've wanted to own anything from the brand. But then i saw this lipstick i knew i had to own it. So did it live up to expectations? Here's my first lip of the week of 2019.
Packaging:
So sleek and slim, very high end looking. It feels very nice to hold. Not cheap plastic.

Shade:
It is a red-brown colour, not like any i have in my collection. The perfect colour for this season, its a really nice dark colour. Its brown without being scary or unflattering as its has red under tones. I think will suit all skin tones.
The texture:
It a creamy matte, glides on nicely. It is creamy so applies smoothly not dry, but definitely gives a matte finish.

Is it long lasting?
Its lasts a decent amount of time, i ate and drank like normal and it lasted pretty well. I would say it was about 4 hours before i touched it up.
Overall i really like this lipstick! So my first NARS product has been a success.

I'd love to know have you tried this lipstick?
Any other NARS shades you would recommend?

Huda Beauty // Worth the hype?

Hello darlings

Today's post is one i've waited a little while to write, i've always wanted a Huda Beauty Palette but i couldn't justify spending over £50 on one, even my Urban Decay palettes weren't that much. So when she brought out her mini palettes for £25 i thought why not! I finally get to try one. I also had a 15% off code for Cult beauty so it only came to about £21 so how could i resist, it was fate. I choose the Warm Obsessions palette as i thought it was the perfect mix of colours. It arrived at the beginning of April and i have finally gathered my thoughts on it, i hope you enjoy!
Packaging:
When it arrived i did let out a little laugh at the size of it! Its rather small.... but saying that i held it up next to my Anastasia Beverly Hills palette and the pans are the same size, its just that they are closer together so it looks less but its actually the same. Just less packaging which is different. Other than my initial reaction to the size, the packing is lovely, its really cute and sleek. Very compact, good to put in you handbag
Shades:
The shades are warm tones, as you can guess from the name, it being the Warm Obsession palette. Its manly full of mattes and only one shimmer. I do love mattes and i will use at least one matte for my looks, even if its just a base or crease colour but i think it needs another shimmer in there to make it the perfect palette that you can create lots of looks from. I found that i needed to use another palette with it. I like to have one palette that does everything. But saying that the shades that are here are very beautiful!

The palette doesn't have shade names which is a little disappointing.

Formula:
In the palette when you stick your brush in they are very powdery and this transfers onto the eye a well (check pic 5) it went all over my face! I wasn't expecting it from a high end palette, my Urban Decay and Anastasia palette don't do that. Even my Makeup Revolution or MUA don't have that much fall out. But saying that once i'd looked past the fall out the shades did blend together beautifully, really beautifully! And they really work with each other.
Pigment:
The shades are nicely pigmented, they are not crazy pigmented but they build up really well. The copper shimmer shade is very pigmented! Its my favourite in the whole palette, its very beautiful.
Conculsion:
Overall i really like this palette and i'm glad i purchased it. I did find the fall out rather annoying and a little disappointing, especially from such a hyped and highly priced palette. But i do really like it and would like to try more from the Huda Beauty range.

I'd love to know have you tried this palette?

You can purchase it here

Trying a new concealer // Estee Lauder Double Wear // Review

Hello darlings.

Today i have a quick fire review for you. I treated myself to this concealer at the beginning of the year. The dark circles under my eyes are getting quite dark that i thought i'd spend a little but more money of a concealer and see if its any better than my other drugstore ones. I believe i bought it on Look Fantastic, i remember they had 15 % or 20% off certain products and this Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer was included. So i saw it as a sign and purchased it there and then! I haven't heard many people talk about this concealer i know a lot of people talk about the foundation, which i need to try! So i thought i'd share my thoughts for anyone looking to purchase this, i hope you enjoy!
Packaging: Its a small glass tube, which is standard concealer packaging. Nothing hugely special but it has a gold handle which i think makes it a little more elegant, this little touches sometimes make all the difference. It contains 7ml of product and has SPF 10 which is brilliant. I think all face products should have some level of SPF in!

Shade: There are 11 shades available which is a decent selection, i have it in the shade 1W (Light Warm) i normally would go for a more pink toned brightening concealer under my eyes but i decided to try something different. I wanted one that would cover my dark circles not just brighten.
Texture: Its really thick and creamy. I find it a little moisturizing but i always wear a moisturizer and eye cream, under my makeup anyway. Its very pigmented, a little goes a long way, so i only use one little swipe under my eyes and it blends are nicely. Its quite a matte finish but i powdered anyway to lock it in place.

Coverage: Its good at covering my dark circles but it does settle into my fine lines as you can see in the imagine below. But brilliant for blemishes and little imperfections i need covering. I use a beauty blender or my fingers to blend out the concealer as i do with all mine.
Longevity: Its lasts all day, i didn't have to retouch at all or powder. But i do have dry skin, have any oily skinned girls tried it? If so please share your thoughts in the comments below!

Would i buy again? Yes i would, i really like this concealer, i don't know if its worth £24.00 but i did really enjoy it so i would be prepared to spend it again. You can buy it here for £24.00

I'd love to know have you tried this concealer?

High-end products that are worth the splurge.

Hello darlings

I try to make this blog budget friendly as i don't have a lot of money to spend on lots of high end makeup, i dunno about you but i'd rather spend it on food! I started this blog while i was at university and i was on a budget then and now i'm moving into my new house with a baby again i'm on a budget. But if someone wants to give me a million pounds i'd be very happy! But saying that i have treated/been treated to a couple of high end/luxury products over the years and i thought it would be useful to create a post about the ones that have stood out and are worth the splurge.
Makeup:
Urban Decay Naked Palettes. These palettes are a huge blogger favourite, and why not they are amazing! They are some, if not the most pigmented eye shadows i have ever used. They are creamy, blend wonderfully and are long lasting. Urban decay have come out with palettes that contain every colour you could possibly need. They start at £22, the Naked 2 palette pictured is £38.50.

Kat Von D Eye Shadow Palette £37.00. This is the only product i've got from Kat Von D, this palette was a 22nd birthday present from my partner Will and i love it so much. Kat Von D makeup is cruelty free! Which is brilliant and i'm so happy that a brilliant palette like this can be achieved without testing on animals, it shows it can done so other brands should take note! Perfect selection of neutral shades. It says 12 matte eye shadows but i'd say there was 10 as two do have a little shimmer. Which are great for brow bone. The shades are split into 3 quads, L to R, neutral, cool, warm. Each quad contains a base, a contour, a define and highlighter shade. But you can mix and match the quads to create your own looks.

Stila's Eyes are the windows to the soul palette £30.00. I love Stila cosmetics, i remember purchasing this as a treat for myself when i handed in a particularly hard essay in Third year. I'd said to my self if i finish it and get a good grade then i'd treat myself, and voila la here it is. The packaging is so beautiful and a little piece of luxury to me. Great selection of everyday colours which match any skin tone and makeup look. Definitely an all round brilliant palette.

Mac Lipsticks £16.50. who in the beauty community hasn't got a mac lipstick, especially a nude shade? They are a firm favourite among us and of course they are very good quality. Mac lipsticks come in every shade and finish you can imagine so you can hardly go wrong!
Skincare
NUXE Rev De Miel £9.50. This is most luxurious lip balm i have even owned, i got this in my Feel Unique Beauty Calender at Christmas. Its like a little hug for your lips. Its so creamy and smells wonderful, like oranges. I wouldn't recommend wearing this as a everyday product, its more of a mask that is best applied at night or as a treat during a pamper day/evening.

Vichy Aqualia serum £25.00. This serum looks and feels much more expensive than it is, i think this is down to the bottle. This serum is great for dry skinned girls, it so hydrating and moisturizing. It leaves you skin so silky smooth. Sometimes spending a little more on your skincare can have its benefits. I really want to try more from this range as i was so impressed by this!

Ole Henriksen truth sugar glow polishing mask £38.00 This is the last product i have to share with you today. I only have the 15g sample of this Ole Henriksen product, full size is 100g. This product provides a deep cleanse, smoothing and brightening purposes. Its a very multi purpose product which is fantastic. This again isn't an everyday product, its a treat, something for a pamper day or once a week at most. Which is great which means it will last a long time, making it worth the price.

I'd love to know what are some of your favourite high end products?
Have you tried any of these?
