Underrated products // Gosh eye shadow palette

Hello darlings,

Happy Tuesday, what have you guys been up to today? I've just had a chill day, house work, gardening, running errands etc, which has been really nice. Today's post is the latest instalment of my underrated products series, i'm loving writing this series, my last one was the Collection highlighter stick, link. today product is a palette from GOSH. I love GOSH makeup, i feel its a brand that is not hugely talked about, at least not that i seeing. Its a affordable, vegan and cruelty free, which is brilliant. I received this eye shadow palette which is called 005 To Party in London, from work a few years ago. I think its so beautiful, great palette for every occasion.
Its a lovely compact palette that is shiny and sleek looking. The palette has a really good sized mirror in the lid. Its all shimmer and glitter shadows that are some of the most pigmented shadows i own. There is also a good range of colours, you have neutrals, warm and cool shades. I think there is a colour for everyone, whether its a day time look or a evening look. The shadows are creamy, smooth and blend beautifully.
The only down side is there is no shade names and no mattes so i couldn't solely use this palette on its own as i need a matte base and a matte crease. But overall its such a pretty palette!

You can buy it from Superdrug here for £11.99

I'd love to know have you tried this palette? Or any of the GOSH eye shadow palettes?

One Brand // W7

Hello darlings.

Today's post is a full face of W7 makeup, I use to do this all the time when i started blogging. I would get as many products from a brand as i could and try and put them all together and see what the brand offered. For example, bare in mind they are super old posts, here are my Rimmel, Maybelline, MUA One brand post. Today's one brand face will be W7 a brand i've not really tried before, i've heard good things about them. So i thought why not try a full face of products all at once.
First i'll start with the stand out products:

The Romanced Eye Shadow Palette, this palette is a dupe for the Anastasia Soft Glam Palette and i'm really surprised with how good this is, i paid £4.99 for it which is a really cheap, i think full price its £10. The shades are pretty and pigmented. They blend nicely and i'm really happy with the eye look i created, definitely a romantic look as the name suggests.

The Glowcomotion Highlighter, beautiful colour, it is a little more golden than i normally wear but with my tan it blended out quite nicely.

The Skinny Lipping Liquid Lipstick in the shade 'Butterfly Kiss' it is such a beautiful colour, a deep pink and very pigmented. Really nice texture, comfortable in the lips. I think it would suit most skin tones as well.

The Banana Dreams Powder, i did enjoy using this powder, it set my makeup nicely and i will definitely be using it again.
Next up the bad...
Apart from the four above i didn't like the rest, i'm sorry W7.

The worst were, the mascara, Absolute Lashes. It did nothing for lashes, made them blacker but that was it. No length and no volume. The packaging make it look like a dupe for the Benefit their real mascara but its nothing like it.

The Face Fantasy Foundation when i first used this the first thing i noticed was how good the colour match was. Which was great as it wasn't too pink or too yellow it was the prefect neutral colour. But it was very cakey and patchy. Didn't blend well, stuck to all my dry patches and when i tried to build it it looked awful.

The concealer Saved By The Gel, i choose in the shade fair, but it was so dark! which was disappointing as the foundation shade was so good. The concealer offered no coverage in the picture below you can still seem my under eye dark circles.
Lastly the okay....

The Honolulu Bronzer, the product blended nicely and had good pigment but the colour didn't suit me. I don't think they do any other shades, for this bronzer but this one was orange on my skin tone.

The Black King Khol eyeliner was alright, a standard black liner. It was nice and did the job but didn't wow me.

The Prime Magic Primer i used with the foundation it didn't work or help the foundation. But i will try this on its own to give it a fair chance, so i will update you guys on how that goes.

Overall i have very mixed feelings, i'm glad i tried this products but there was more fails and gems. I'd love to know have you tried any of these products?
Are there any other W7 products i should try?

My new bargain lipstick // Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Hello darlings

If you follow me on Instagram (link) you would have seen that i popped into TKMaxx a couple of days ago and found quite a few bargains! They had a lot of Anastasia Beverly Hill's products and pretty decent ones too, normally they are products that people don't want. These are not just ABH but other brands for example, black and purple lipsticks, or green and purple eye shadow.

They had contour palettes (the last one had finger prints in so i didn't pick it up) lots of single eye shadows, liquid lipsticks, lipsticks etc. Have a look at my bargain stories on my Insta to see which ones. Also they had lots of other brand too for example, Stila, Maybelline, Revlon, Pixi, Estee Lauder.
I only picked up one lipstick, i know the self restraint, but i need to save money for my holiday. I chose a ABH matte lipstick in the shade Buff. Which is a beautiful pinky-mauve. Its quiet similar to MAC Mehr. I was really happy to find this shade as its the type of shade i usually wear which means i should get a lot of use out of it.
Very pretty and pigmented shade. I do think it is a very dry texture but it is comfortable on the lips as long as i have a lip balm underneath.  But being a dry formula means its a long lasting product.

I'd love to know have you found any bargains in TKMaxx recently?

Pretty In Pink // Nail Care Routine. // My Go To Look.

Hello darlings

Today i thought i would share with you my current go to routine for my nails and the look i have been loving. Its a really simple look that is quick and easy to create.
All the nail polishes are Essie but just by chance i'm not sponsored by them, they are just my current favourites. I start off with the nail file and buffer, any type will do, i make sure all my nails are even and smooth. I then put a thin layer of hand cream on to hydrate my hands. My current favourite is the Nivea Vanilla and Almond Oil, it smells lovely. Then i start with the Essie Apricot Oil to soften and nourish my cuticles. I put two/three coats of Essie 'Not Just A Pretty Face' on three of my nails, my thumb, middle and pinky. Then i put two Essie 'Disco Ball' of the other two. To top it all off i put the Essie Top Coat 'All In One' on top of all my nails to seal it all in and to avoid chipping. I love this look as its quite subtle but pretty and you can wear it daily.
Essie are not the cheapest nail products but are really good and i find worth the money. But if you're like me and love a bargain you can always deals where you can find them a little cheaper for example TKMaxx, Fragrance Direct, Ebay etc. I have quite a large collection but that is because i bought the Essie Advent calendar a couple years ago after Christmas, 24 nails polishes for £7 (plus i had staff discount at the time) the calendar was worth £70!

I'd love to know what your go to nail look is?

Dare magazine // June 2019

Hello darlings.

I thought i would come on here quick just to let you know about the latest issue of DARE magazine. I love getting this magazine its always such good value. I'm a bit late writing this as it has been out for a while. I remember i missed the last issue and i was gutted. The June issue has 2 products and several sachets which is perfect as i go on holiday in 2 weeks so perfect timing. It was £3 and has the value of £11.
It comes with a sample of J Low's Enduring glow perfume which smells amazing. A sample of the shampoo and conditioner of the Mane n Tail, i've heard so many good things about this brand and i look forward to trying this. A full size Revolution liquid highlight in the shade Rose Gold, this is £6 so double what i paid so this alone makes the purchase worth it. Its a little bit dark for my skin tone but i will make it work as it is so beautiful. Maybe an an eye shadow? Next a mini Colgate tooth paste, great for my holiday. A Hawaiian Tropic Sun Cream sample again great for my holiday! Its like they knew. Lastly the magazine also contains a book of vouchers to spend at Superdrug, these are points vouchers and discounts on their nail and brow bar.
Have you picked up your copy?

Empties // June 2019

Hello darlings

Today i'm stood in my kitchen with my cup of tea that i have microwaved three times having a few moments to my self and thought i would write a little post. Anyone else with kids are constantly microwaving their tea or coffee? There is always one in my microwaved that i have forgotten about. Anyway today's post is an empties post, do people still read these? Or am i stuck in the past? I really enjoy reading and writing these posts. Anyway here are a few things i've used up this month!
Maybelline Lash Sensational: There is always one of these mascaras in my empties, my all time favourite mascara is the Lash Sensational. I've been using it for years and i have tried others along the way but none beat it. So i will repurchase it when i run out of my back up stash!

L'Oreal True Match Foundation: Its taken me a while to use this up i do really like it but its my summer shade so i put it away at the end of last summer and have finally finished the last little bit now that the sun is back out. It has great coverage, lovely finish and lasts well in the heat. I might buy this again in the future but for now i've got a draw full of foundations i still need to use up.

Simple Kind to Skin Replenishing Moisturiser: This is a firm favourite of mine, whenever i need a good basic moisturiser i look to Simple. I think this works really nice first thing in the morning. It feels and looks amazing on my skin and it sits really well under makeup. It is a very light moisturiser but i need a thicker moisturiser at night. I will definitely be repurchasing this again.

B Hydrated Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz: I LOVE this facial spritz. I already have another one on the go. My skin reacts really well to Hyaluronic acid. I have been using this facial spritz for some time, i can't remember how many i have purchased.

Jimmy Choo Blossom: My fiance bought this for me for Christmas a couple of years ago when it first came out. Its such a beautiful scent, its floral but light. I would think i buying it again but there are so many other fragrances i want to try next!

Batiste Dry Shampoo: I mean what can i say who doesn't love and need dry shampoo. I have tried a million different ones but Batiste is the only one that works for me. This one is in the scent Sweetie but there are lots of really nice scents from them.  I will definitely be buying again as i can't live without dry shampoo.

I'd love to know have you tried any of these products?

Ready, Jet, Go Kit from Clinique

Hello darlings

Today post is about a little skincare set from Clinique i ordered last week, i haven't actually tired much from Clinque which is funny because i had a job interview to work for them a few years ago but i chicken out and got too scared to go to the interview. On Look Fantastic they have a selection of different types of skincare and makeup sets each with a theme, full of miniatures or 'fun sized' products for you to test out.  I love boxes of miniatures like this because you get to try out a bunch of products for a fraction of the price. I think its why i love the beauty advent calendars at Christmas so much as  you gets lots to try out. It takes me ages to use up a full size product.

I have dry skin so i picked up the Ready Jet Go Set as it was the 'non-stop hydration' selection. Also because it had the products that most caught my eye. Other sets they had were the 'Break Up with Breakout Kit', 'Ready in 5' and 'Stay in and Chill Out Kit' and many more. All priced at about £20 which is really good value as you get 3-5 products in each.
The set contains:
Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Super Concentrate. 15ml
Clinique All about the Eyes Eye Cream. 5ml
Clinique Moisture Surge Facial Spray. 30ml
Clinique Chubby Stick in 'Woppin Watermelon'.
I am yet to try these products but first impression are really good.

You can buy it here.

I'd love to know have you tried any of these kits?
What would you recommend i try next from Clinique.

Empties // February 2019

Good evening darlings,

Today's post is an old classic empties post. I don't do these very often as i take a while to empty or pan products. I'm always trying new things so i tend to have a lot of half used items and not many empties! So lets begin!

Makeup:

Maybelline Lash Sensational, this is my holy grail of mascaras, you will always see one of these in my hauls and empties. Its has the perfect wand, its rubber and curved to curl the lashes. It gives length and volume without clumping.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, everyone and their mother uses this powder and with good reason its a great matte powder. One of the best on the high street and a bargain for only £3.99, i will definitely be picking this one up again.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer, its taken my quite a while to use up this concealer. I've really enjoyed the colour match and coverage but its one i used every now and then so i don't think i'm going to repurchase any time soon as there are other ones i like more.
 Skincare:

Garnier Miceller Water, i really enjoy using this miceller water to take my makeup off, i do think its a little pricey when you can buy similar ones for half the price. But when its is on offer i will definitely pick one up. Its a very gentle cleanser and good for stubborn makeup!

Skin Republic Collagen Under Eye Mask, i really enjoy using under eye masks, i'm obsessed with using anything that could get rid of my dark circles and fine lines. These masks were not bad but not a miracle, so i wont be repurchasing, but i'm glad i tried them.

Hair Care:

Tony & Guy Damage Repair Shampoo, this is the only hair product this month, i bought this shampoo in Home Bargains for i think £1.99 or £2.99. I really enjoyed it, i wouldn't pay £7.19 full price but if i see it in there again i will grab a couple bottles. It made my hair feel clear, smooth and healthy looking, i'm quite a fan of Tony & Guy hair products so i do recommend them.

Perfume:

Ghost Original Fragrance, this is a perfume i've been working on for a while, its a nice light fragrance that is good for everyday. Its a really likeable scent, not too overpowering so i think most people will like it. I won't repurchase tho at least not for a while as i have so many still to use.

I'd love to know what products have you used up this month?
Have you tried any of these

No7 Advent Calendar 2018

Hello darlings.

This is just a super quick post to show you guys what arrived yesterday! I know this sold out pretty quickly so i'm so happy i got it i ordered the day before it was released (i signed up to the mailing list). I'm currently recovering from having my wisdom teeth out so lots of bed rest and time off work for me. So having this arrive has certainly made me happier.
I got this calendar a couple years ago (links, week 1week 2, week 3week 4) and i was wondering if you guys would like similar posts about what is in the calendar again this year. What i did back in 2014 is i did a week by week round up of what was i the calendar. Let me know if you guys would be interested in that kind of thing! I also have the Ghost fragrance one that i bought on clearance a couple months back (left over from last year) id love if you'd let me know if you wanted me to talk about that one too!

Are there any beauty calendars that you guys have your eye on or already bought? Let me if there are any other i should get?

Kisses

July favourites // 2018 // Higher End

Hello darlings

Today's post is my July favourite,s do people still enjoy reading monthly favourites? I know i still love reading them, do people find them a little old news now? let me know in the comments! This month i've been trying new products and have done a LOT of shopping, oops! Don't tell Will.

I'm really enjoying this hair cream i'm not usually one for using hair products i tend to wash my hair put heat protector on it an leave it. A top it up with dry shampoo during the week but that's pretty much it, i'm not very good at doing things with my hair, i'm much better at makeup. But since i had my hair cut i've been trying more products. I picked this up on clearance for about 89p, crazy! considering full price its £8.23, i think its because its in the old packaging. It gives me natural waves that last till i brush them out, its great because it means i don't have to use heat on my hair.

Nip and Fab Glycolic Cleansing Pads, £14.95. (Currently half price at £7.48)!)
I'm not if i've mentioned these pads in a favourites post before, i'm pretty sure i have as they are my holy grail. I love how these make my skin feel, they are a little more expensive than i normally pay but i heard so many great reviews on them and i'm so glad i purchased them and this is probably my fourth pot?
This is the first liquid highlighter i have purchased. I have a cream and LOTS of powder ones but not any liquid ones. These are the type you mix into your foundation or use as a stand alone highlight. Giving you more of a natural look. This Gold Euphoric is super pretty and i'm really enjoy using it on more natural makeup days. I need to try more from the collection.

Mac Prep and Prime, (full price £22.50)
I only have a sample of this which i've nearly used up so i need to pick up a full size one. I got this free when i bought one of the Mac lip kits. This is so good, i'm not usually one to remember to use a primer but this month i have to wear it everyday in this heat! This leave my skin feeling so good and an excellence base for my makeup and it keeps it n place all day!

Morphe 35 Taupe Palette, £23.00. (On offer for £14 on Beauty Bay)
Lastly my newest palette to add to my collection, it is the Morphe 35 Taupe Palette. I've only had this for just over a week but i couldn't not include it! Beauty Bay is discounting Morphe as they are opening their on site and store in England so Beauty Bay has the 'break up sale', which i took full advantage off! I've wanted this palette for a long time, it is filled with the shades that i wear daily, i think taupe and gold suit me the best. I buy so many warm palettes hoping that they will suite me but i don't think they do at least not all the time, but cool tone bronzes and browns do.

I'd love to know what are some of your July favourites? How is is August soon!?!

Forgotten Products. // Drugstore

Hello darlings

Today's post is all about those products that i love but don't use very often (I'm sure ill come up with a better title than that). I have a whole beauty table full of products that i love and bought for a reason but just get forgotten about. I stick to the same products day in day out. This post is just a reminder to myself to why i love them, why i bought them and why they should get a little more attention. I'm gonna try and make this a semi regular thing, so that i get use out of them and might even remind you guys to love some of them lost gems.
Nip and Fab eye shadow palette in Sculpted: £12.95.
I purchased this palette on Black Friday and i got it as part of an amazing deal (link). I do love this palette, the shades are creamy, very pigmented and blend beautifully. But the shades are all very similar you can't create a huge amount of looks from it, they all end up looking the same or very dark. I could use them a long side another palette but i like a palette to have everything i need it in, a base, crease and lid. Which to be fair this does its just not a everyday palette for me.

I really like this concealer but i just don't reach for it as often as i'd like i always have other concealers that i prefer. But this is a really nice concealer, it creamy, brightening and pigmented. I need to put it in my everyday makeup bag and make myself use it.

I have a whole draw full of primers that i never sue, i keep buying them and forget that they are there. This Max Factor one if one of the better ones but i never remember to apply it before foundation. I have dry skin so i moisturizer before i apply my foundation, otherwise the application tends to be pretty awful no matter what foundation it is. Maybe a primer would also fix this?

Again primers! I have so many eye shadow primers too, but again i rarely remember it before i apply my eye shadow. I do i find that a primer do usually makes my shadow brighter and stays on longer. This Makeup Revolution shadow primer is only £2.50, how brilliant is that! Very affordable.

Sleek Blusher in pomegranate £4.99.
Lastly i new a blusher would be in here.sI own do may pretty blushers, i see them in the shops and i fall in love but i rarely use them. I contour and highlight daily but i always feel if i add blush too its too much. And i would rather have a contoured face than a blushing one. I'm naturally quite a pink person anyway so i feel i have it naturally there. But my Sleek blushes especially are amazing, some of the best i own, i'm putting this one in my everyday bag as i write this.

I'd love to know what products have you loved and forgotten?

Rimmel Cream Contour Sticks REVIEW

Hello darlings.

Today's post is my review of the Rimmel Duo Contour Sticks. I've seen lots of people rave about these so i knew i had to pick one up. I mean who doesn't want that gorgeous chiseled faced and glowy ckeeks? If you too want that then find out my thoughts on this product!
These aren't the first cream contour/highlighter sticks i've tried, i've got the Makeup Revolution one and i've got the Collection cream highlighter. So they are what i have to compare it too. Also my tastes and my skin type are different to other peoples, so we all will have different experiences with this. I have dry skin, so cream products last really well on me, i'd love to know if you have oily skin and how this product worked for you?
The packaging is really nice, its a great 2 in 1 product. There are three shades available, light, medium and dark. I choose the light. They are easy to use, good for getting a precise application. Having both products on one item makes it great for travel.
The highlighter is a beautiful colour for me, its stunning. You can use to make a subtle everyday glow or really build it up to something really striking. Great for daily life and for special occasions. The contour is a little orange for my skin tone, but you can make it work! And the product itself is really nice. Its very bendable, you can achieve a very natural contour or get a very bronzed one. I found it long lasting, but i do have dry skin so for me i don't have that issue with many makeup items
Overall i really liked this product and i'm happy i purchased it. I'd like the contour to be a little cooler toned but i can make it work.

You can purchase it here (currently 30% off)

I'd love to know have you tried the Rimmel Duo Contour and Highlighter sticks?

You can never go wrong with a nude // Sally Hansen nail polish for only 99p!

 Hello darlings.

I haven't review a nail polish for a long time, i just don't seem to have the time or motivation to sit down and paint my nails, which is a shame as i use to always have my nails painted! The beginning of the week i had a little time to myself, my mother-in-law to be had Isaac so i decided why not paint my nails. I chose this Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish in Cafe Au Lait, which i bought for a bargain price of 99p from Fragrance Direct (Haul coming soon!!)
I have never tried a Sally Hansen nail polish before but i always wanted to but i didn't know if they were worth the price. In Boots and Superdrug they tend to be around the £7/8 mark and i've always been happy with Barry M nail polishes and never saw the need to spent much more on other ones. I was so happy when i saw Fragrance Direct had this colour as normally on these outlet websites the colours are the real bright ones and the colours that don't sell that well. But this is the perfect natural nude colour. my nails but better! I was amazed it was on their for only 99p so i quickly added it to my basket!
It was opaque with two coats which is standard for nail polish. It built up well, it didn't go thick and gloppy. I used a base coat but not a top coat to i could see how long it lasted without chipping, next time i will try a top coat too. The polish lasted for about 4 days without chipping, which was brilliant! Bearing in mind i do washing up, other house work, looking after a baby, my hands do take a beating daily! After 4 days it was only little chips but by the end of the week i had to take it off. Overall i'm really pleased.

I'd love to know have you tried this nail polish?
Or any other Sally Hansen nail polishes?

September favourites 2017

Hello darlings.

Its that time of the month (no not that.... haha) Its my monthly favourites.  I'm getting better at using more products each month and i have a lot more to tell you guys.
Marc Jacobs Daisy (£47.75 for 50ml) This is a perfume i have a very love hate relationship with. I received this as a Christmas present a couple years ago. Some days i think it smells amazing and others not so much. But this month i really enjoyed it, its a very summery scent. Plus the bottle is super cute.

Benefit They're Real Lipstick (£16.50) I received this in Elle earlier this month, i choose it in the shade nude scandal which is a gorgeous 'my lips but better' shade. Its a comfortable creamy texture, thats long lasting. Its also a handy size its prefect for my handbag an for travel, but this is a mini not the full size.

Carli Bybel Palette (£18.00, although currently on offer for £12.60!! wish i had bought it an offer haha) I have used this one non stop since i got this palette. It has a gorgeous range of colours, both eye shadows and highlighters which can double up as eye shadows especially the darker shades as they don't match my skin tone a highlighters. I'm really looking forward to creating some winter looks with this palette.

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Be My Baby' (£5.99) I know i mentioned this in my last monthly favourites, but its just that good! (Link to my review.) This is my everyday lip product, its so long lasting and it the most comfortable liquid lip i've ever tried.
Lastly a book, this is 'Hurrah For Gin' by Katie Kirby (£6.00) I found this is a charity shop at the start of the month and its so funny! While i was pregnant i have to admit i stayed away from parenting books as they were far to overwhelming! So many people having so many opinions and advice that clashed it just gave me a headache but this book is brilliant. It says what all mums are thinking or have thought at least once but maybe not acceptable to say or live up to societies expectations. Its a light hearted book that is great for light reading.

I'd love to know what some of your September favourites were?
