My new bargain lipstick // Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Hello darlings

If you follow me on Instagram (link) you would have seen that i popped into TKMaxx a couple of days ago and found quite a few bargains! They had a lot of Anastasia Beverly Hill's products and pretty decent ones too, normally they are products that people don't want. These are not just ABH but other brands for example, black and purple lipsticks, or green and purple eye shadow.

They had contour palettes (the last one had finger prints in so i didn't pick it up) lots of single eye shadows, liquid lipsticks, lipsticks etc. Have a look at my bargain stories on my Insta to see which ones. Also they had lots of other brand too for example, Stila, Maybelline, Revlon, Pixi, Estee Lauder.
I only picked up one lipstick, i know the self restraint, but i need to save money for my holiday. I chose a ABH matte lipstick in the shade Buff. Which is a beautiful pinky-mauve. Its quiet similar to MAC Mehr. I was really happy to find this shade as its the type of shade i usually wear which means i should get a lot of use out of it.
Very pretty and pigmented shade. I do think it is a very dry texture but it is comfortable on the lips as long as i have a lip balm underneath.  But being a dry formula means its a long lasting product.

I'd love to know have you found any bargains in TKMaxx recently?

Revlon Lipstick Review.

Hello darlings

Today i have for you my thoughts on my new Revlon lipstick. I was so impressed with Revlon's lip butters i wanted to try another one of their lip products, so i chose a lipstick. The one i chose was 'Blushing mauve' which is a pearl finish.

As always i'll start with the packaging, i think its cute, I love the tube. I feel it has real classic look, not cheap or like its going to break easily. I love most of Revlon's packaging for their products and this was no different. It applied easily, smooth and creamy with a great finish. I think that is due to it being a pearl as i've  heard that the matte ones are very drying. But i have yet to try one. I love the colour, i think its beautiful, while i was in the shop i also looked at the others and they have a good selection of colours, i believe one for everyone's taste.

Overall i am extremely please with this product and so far Revlon is soon becoming one of my favourite drug store makeup brands. I’ve only tried one lipstick but I look forward to trying more.

Have you tried any Revlon Lipsticks? What were your thoughts on it?

Essence Haul/Review

Hello darlings.

I'm back! Did you miss me?
Today i for you guys a little, a very little, haul from Essence that i got a couple of weeks back when i went to Exeter for the day. Unfortunately we don't have a Wilko in Bath so i haven't had the chance to try any essence products when they first launched them. I bought two items, a mascara and a lipstick.
I'll start with the lipstick:
The colour i went for was a lovely purple, again going with my new 'adventurous' streak i'm going for at the moment.

As always i'll start with the packaging, i like it, its a great size tube that doesn't look cheap. You get a decent amount of product, 3.8g and it has the 'e' stamped in to it which i really like. Cute colour range, with many that would suit lots of different people. The main thing i don't like about this lipstick is the plastic smell, its horrible. You can smell it on your lips when your wearing it and its not just for a second or two its for quite a while after you've applied it.
It applies quite drying at first but then turn quite creamy the more layers you apply. But overall I don’t like the lipstick and i don't think i will buy any more.

The second item i bought was a mascara:
The colour i went for was black.

This on the other hand i loved! I though't this was a brilliant mascara. I have really small eyelashes that don't do much. I think the reason the mascara has worked so well for me, its not just the formula, which is great but the brush itself. The brush is not too big which is great as it makes it very easy to apply and doesn't get all over my eyelids! It didn't do anything dramatic to them in length but it didn't clump and it made a very nice natural look. Overall i really love this mascara and would definitely buy it again.
My experience so far with Essence is 50/50.

Have you tried anything from Essence?
What is your option of their products? And would you recommend any?
