Christmas makeup #1

 Hey lovelies.

A couple of days ago i was having a little clear out of makeup, getting rid of old, expired makeup and putting a couple of barely used/new items on Depop. (Here is my Depop shop if anyone is interested!) And i realised i have so many red lipsticks that i love but only remember i have when it hits December! So i put together a couple of my favourites. All drugstore and budget friendly.

(L to R) Two Studio lip glosses, sadly no name part of gift set last Christmas, Revlon 'Revlon Red, MUA 'Mini Two' also part of a gift set and Max Factor in 'Marilyn Ruby Red'

All of these are super comfortable on the lips, long lasting and beautiful. None of them are matte so they aren't smudge proof, but i'm moving away from matte lipsticks and finding creme or glosses much more comfortable and flattering.
Wearing Revlon 'Revlon Red' (My Favourite) Classic winged liner, lashes and red lip. My go to Christmas look. My next look with be more glittery so keep an eye out!

I'd love to know what lipsticks you are wearing this Christmas season?
Any i should try?

My Christmas day makeup, Christmas look #2

Hello darlings.

Today post is my next installment of my Christmas makeup looks, this is the look i am planning on wearing on Christmas day. Its a subtle winged eyeliner and red lip. It is classic but a little bit festive. I hope you enjoy :)
Base:
I first applied my Revlon Colour Stay in 'Buff' all over my skin, i then covered any red patches and blemishes with my Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer in 'Light', i also applied a generous amount to my under eye circles. I don't powder my whole face as i have super dry skin so i have no problem staying matte (plus its winter) i just use it to set my under eye concealer for this is used the Seventeen Miracle Matte Powder in 'Porcelain'. I normally use this is the summer when i am a little bit shiny but i felt like switching things up a little. To finish off my base i added a little bit of this No7 Skin Illumination that i got in my No7 advent calendar last year to the high points of my face as a highlighter.

Eyes and Eyebrows
I filled in my brow using the Seventeen Brow Pencil in ' Natural Brown', this is my favourite brow product of all time, it is the perfect shade of brown for me, i find lots of eyebrow pencils are too warm or too orange and makes my eyebrows look unnatural. For eyes i used my Naked 2 Palette, my favourite palette i own, i used Foxy as my base, then Suspect all over my lid darkening it up a little with Snakebite and Tease in my crease. Then applying a thin black line along my top lid using the Maybelline Liquid Liner in 'Black' an adding a little wing at the end, To finish off i used the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in 'Black'.

Lips
To complete my look i used the Revlon Matte Balm in 'Striking' which is a gorgeous red that isn't a true red, its more orangey so its easy to wear.

Here is the test run.
I'd love to know your thoughts on this makeup look.
Do you know what makeup you're planing to wear this Christmas?

Christmas Nails. 2015

Hello darlings.

Today post is a little nail of the day, this time a Christmas edition. They are not the most festive design but i thought red polish with a little glitter seemed appropriate!
This L'Oreal Nail Polish in Scarlet Vamp is a new purchase (well i got it free with 3 for 2), its a gorgeous deep red. I applied this all over the nail (after i applied a Barry M base coat, my favourite one) Then i applied No7 Nail Polish in Disco Ball to one finger on each hand, to add a little glamour and make it a bit different.

I'd love to know what do you think of my nails?
Have you tried any festive nail polish this season?

I'm sorry i haven't posted in a while, i've just finished Uni for the year and spent a little time in Edinburgh, but now i'm back and with a new Christmas post. I did a post similar to this last year, a couple of looks you could wear either to a Christmas party, or on Christmas Eve or Christmas day. So this is the first one, a smokey eye with a nude lip.
I hope you enjoy :)

Sleek Contour Kit in light i only used the highlight for this look
Natural Collection blush in 'Peach Melba' i always apply my blush high on my cheek, 90s style

Eyes and Eyebrows
Soap and Glory Brow Archery in 'Brown' i used the pen part of this to add definition and fill in any gaps
Makeup Revolution Icon Pro 2 Palette i used the shades Paper as a base, then Faith all over the lid and Grey Day in my crease.

Lips
Lip Kate Moss Lipstick in '08' (Sorry i forgot to photograph it)

I'd love to know have you tried any of these products?

My No7 Advent Calendar Opening: Week 4 | Perfect Fixations

Hello darlings
Today is the 4th and final week of opening my Advent Calendar, as Christmas is now over for another year. *Inserts sad face*
On Day 22 i got he most beautiful colour 4ml Nail Polish in the shade 'Deep Wine' this is so a colour i would wear/buy and perfect for this season! Day 23 a Brown Eyeliner Pencil, a good standard brown pencil that i can use for a more softer look. Then on Day 24 a Night Cream 25ml, i don't like the smell of this but i can't wait to give it a try as i'm really enjoying the day cream. The very last door of this calendar Day 25 was this doubled ended nail polish duo both 4ml, in the shades Cheeky Chops (the pink) and Hot To Trot (the gold). Perfect for a new Years Party, the gold is just lovely!

Overall i have thoroughly enjoyed opening this calendar this month! Its so much fun having a new beauty or makeup item each day. I think it was defineitly worth the money and i will be definitely getting another one next year! Whether it be a No7 one or another one, i think they are a brilliant idea.

I'd love to know did you have this calendar? What are your thoughts so far? Or did you have another one? Let me known down in the comments!

My No7 Advent Calendar Opening: Week 3 | Perfect Fixations

Hello darlings
Today i have for you the 3rd week of my No7 Advent calendar opening!
On day 15 i got a Black Eyeliner Pencil, at first when i saw this i thought it was going to be gold which would have been cool since i don't own an gold eyeliners, but alas its just a plain black one. But it shall come in handy. Then day 16 A lip Brush i never usually use a lip brush but its another useful makeup brush. Day 17 Intense Volume Mascara, i'm so glad i got another mascara as i really like the first, this one has a nice wand so i look forward to trying this! Day 18 This is by far my favourite item of the week, its beautiful shimmery pale eyeshadow. I've been really impress by the quality of the shadows i have got in this calendar and i can't wait to try some more. Day 19 A little Nail Polish 4ml in 'Disco Ball, a really pretty sliver glitter, that can be layered on a any nail polish, perfect for this season and for a party! Day 20 A small Hand Cream, its only 10ml, which is super tiny but its the prefect size to put in my handbag. Plus in the winter you never have enough hand creams! Last but not least day 21 A full size Metallic Eyes Pencil. This is such a beautiful colour! Its very pigmented and creamy and i can't wait to wear this.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, here are part one and two if you missed it :)
Overall this week was more makeup unlike last week which was the opposite, so it been a good amount of both. So far i am really impressed by this calendar!

I'd love to know do you have this calendar? What are your thoughts so far? Let me known down in the comments!

The Christmas Tree is Up! | Perfect Fixations

Hello darlings.
Last week we put up our Christmas tree! Yay :) Putting up the tree is one of my favourite parts of Christmas. We've used the same fake tree for years and most of our decorations are just bits and pieces we've collected over the years, so they are more special.

This year i started to get excited for Christmas back at the end of October but as soon as we hit December my excitement started to fade. But now the tree is up an i've started to do my Christmas shopping i'm finally starting to feel Christmasy.

I'd love to know have you put up your Christmas tree yet? If you've made a blog post about it leave me a link the comments and i'll check it out!

My Beauty Advent Calendar

Hello darlings

I know i know its only November but to me the Christmas celebrations/ preparations/ buying has already begun. To be honest it started at the end of September. (Yes, really)
Recently i did a little shopping and spotted this beauty, i'd wanted a beauty advent calendar for ages as i saw lots of bloggers have them last year, i mean who doesn't want little beauty treats every day for a month? (well nearly, 25 days.) I did a little research before hand and thought they were all a little expensive compared to £2 or £3 a normal chocolate one is. I really liked the look of the Benefit and The Body Shop's ones but they were quite pricey.

This is the boots one, more specifically No7, I got it for £35, you can buy it here. I really look forward to opening this as i did have a little sneak at the goodies inside! Can't blame a girl! And there are definitely some things in there that look really good. I can't wait for December! :D

Have you guys tried any of these beauty Calenders?
