My Makeup Storage // Budget Friendly

Hello darlings

Today i thought i'd do a different kind of post. I have spent hours of my life scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest looking for storage ideas for my new house. I have had quite a few of these  bits and pieces for a few years but recently i bought a couple of new things and i think i almost have my ideal set up. Today post will focus on my makeup, its all on a budget, i hope you find it useful! I'm thinking of making this a series and doing each room, let me know what you think!
This is the famous IKEA Malm desk, in white. I only bought this the beginning of this year when we moved in, i'm a little late to the party. But i'm so glad i have it! I finally have two separate desks, one for my makeup and one for my work/laptop etc. Its the perfect size, without being to bulky or too small. I love the shape and size, i love that its one large draw, its much easier to find everything an organised it.

My Chair:
My mother-in-law picked this chair up in a charity shop, i think it was £5 which was a bargain! i love  it and the red matches my curtains and winter bed sheets.
Another huge blogger you tuber favourite is the again IKEA flower pots that we use for brushes, i also have a pen pot that i use for my mascaras and eyeliners. I love them, the white and grey matches my white ad grey bedroom.
Lipstick Holders:
I'll start with the storage on top, the small round pot i bought in the Poundshop a few years ago. The larger square one i bought in TKmaxx when i was in Uni, i believe it was around £6/8? I love both of these, they are so handy for displaying my lip products. It is also handy as it helps me switch things up regularly so that i'm using all my products! (sorry its not the tidiest)
Storage Draws:
The small grey storage draws i bought from the pound shop, i have two sets of twos stacked on top of each other, they were £1 each. I keep my perfume samples in the top draw and makeup samples in the second draw down. Then i have concealers in the third draw and finally face/eye primers in the bottom.

The clear draws, these are from Muji, i bought when i was in London three of four year ago, i remember i did a post about them (link) at the time. I still think they are amazing and one of the best things i've bought for my makeup. The top draw contains my eye shadows palettes than i'm currently using. The second draw has single eye shadows and brow products. The third draw has powders, blush, bronzers, highlighters. Finally the bottom draw has all my foundations in.
Inside the large draw i have a couple of old boxes that i keep my skincare in but other than that i just have it places i here. I usually keep gift boxes or chocolates boxes and use them but i know that quite a lot of bloggers that look good and more organised, but this works for me. I don't need to spend a lot of money on something that only i see and my partner Will.

The Jewelry Tray:
I picked up this cute floral tray while i was in Amsterdam at the Rijksmuseum.
Lastly my latest purchase, i love my cube boxes that i bought to display my perfumes! I bought them in B&M (the place of wonders!) for about £6.99. I have some similar ones in my bathroom but they are a larger version from B&Q that i display all my hair product, but i plan to do a separate post of my bathroom storage! I think they are so hand and look so chic!

I'd love to know how do you store your makeup?

February Favourites 2015 | Perfect Fixations

Hello darlings

Today i have for you my February favourites. This time of month always comes around so quickly! There are quite a few things i have been loving this month, many things you will have already heard me rave about but a couple of new favourites too, so i hope you enjoy!
I'll off with makeup:
The Benefit Roller Lash, i got this little sample free in my issue of Elle magazine and i have not stopped using it since! I love it, i reviewed it a couple weeks back (can read here). When this runs out i will definitely go an buy it full size. Next up is a Bourjois Lip Velvet in 'Nude-ist', this is no stranger to my blog, it is definitely my favorite lip product at the moment. The staying power of these little beauties is incredible! Good for if you are on the run and have long days! I have a feeling i will buy them all! This product is a re-discovery, the L'Oreal True Match Foundation. This foundation i haven't used in a while probably about 6 months. But i decided to try it again and its very similar to the MUA Undress Your Skin (another firm favourite) in it texture, covergae and staying power. I really like it, its light coverage and good for if you are having a good skin day. My concealer of choice at the moment is the Maybelline Anti-Age Concealer. I was quite late to the craze when i bought this and i can definitely see why people love it. I don't use it on my blemishes only under my eyes. I find it last a long time and doesn't crease too badly. Last 'makeup' item is a Carmex Lip Balm. I mentioned this is my winter essential. Lip balm is a must have for me and the one i've been really enjoying is the Carmex Lip Balm in Strawberry. Its so moisturizing and smells great.
I haven't got any skincare favourites this month i have just been using the same as the past few months. But i have been loving The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel, it smells gorgeous and leaves the whole room smelling wonderful afterwards. (And yes my monkey is wearing a shower cap...)
Food: MaltEaster Chocolate Bunnies. These are my new obsession, i'm not even kidding when i say i eat them daily, not good for my waist line but they are so addictive!

Lastly i finally got Instagram, how i've survived this long without it i don't know, but now i have it you can check it out here. (Perfect_Fixations) I'm still getting use to it (i'm a bit of a Granny when it comes to technology) but i'd love it if you could check it out. :)

I hope you enjoyed reading my favourites for this month i'd love to know what you have been loving. Let me know down in the comments!
