Maybelline Velvet Lip Pencil Review | Perfect Fixations

Today i have for you another quick fire review!  This week its on the very much talked and loved Maybelline Velvet Color Drama Lips Pencils.

You know what i'm going to say, as always i'll start with the packaging. I think its cute, its not too heavy and doesn't look cheap. When i was browsing the stand i noticed they have a nice colour selection, so i picked up a nude pink called '140 Minimalist' and a deep berry colour called '310 Berry Much'. I find the Berry Much is more creamer and easier to apply but the minimalist suits me better with my skin tone (you can check out my one brand Maybelline look here where i am wearing it). The product has a nice texture, goes on kinda creamy but then drys matte. I found with the lighter shade i had to really work it on to my lips but the deeper of the two only a little was needed. The pencil applies very precisely, also great for over drawing your lips, as that appears to be the 'thing' at the moment. It does last for a decent amount of time, not the longest, but its easy to reapply during the day. But i would suggest maybe putting a lip balm on first as its quite a drying product. 

Overall i really like them, i think its a great hand bag essential. They are excellent quality at a great price. They are only £4.99. I will definitely be picking more up!
