The best face serum? Vichy Serum REVIEW

Hello darlings

I don't normally spend a lot of money on skincare, i've always been perfectly happy with Simple, Nivea and Superdrug's own brand, each are normally under £5 and they do the job perfectly. But since i'm getting older, i know i'm only 21 but i feel if i start looking after my skin now i'll be thankful when i'm 70. I handed my dissertation in about a month ago and i thought i'd treat myself so i went on a little shopping spree and i was looking at the Vichy skincare section in Boots. I'd heard lots of good things about the brand through bloggers and reviews so i decided to try one of their face serums. I bought the hydration for as i have sensitive and dry skin so i thought it was best matched for my age. I've been using it for about a month and i think its a good time to give it a review.

I'm going to start off by saying this is the first serum i've tried so i don't have anything to compare it to, i've been looking at them for a while but i wasn't sure which one would be right for me. As i say always i'll start with the packaging, i love it, it a sleek class bottle that looks great on my desk.

With this product you do not need a lot, a pump or two goes a long way! The liquid drys fast, it isn't sticky or tacky so its perfect to apply first thing in the morning and to wear under makeup. It provides a smooth base and it is absorbed into the skin quickly. Once it has dried it leaves a lovely texture on the skin that is silky and smooth. I personally prefer to use this at night before i go to sleep just as i prefer to have night skin care routine than a morning as i'd rather have a few minute more in bed!

It doesn't break me out of dry out my skin which i always a bonus. Its quite silicony and i don't think people will like. But apart from that i think most people will love this. My friend Sarah came with me on this shopping trip and she also bought this too but she has oily skin and shes currently loving it, so i think it works for all skin types.

You get 30ml which will last me a long time with how little you need.
You can buy it here for £22.50

I'd love to know have you tried this?
Or any other Vichy products?
