August favourites 2016

Hello darlings

I can't believe it is already September! I'm so excited, i can't wait to say good bye to all the heat and sweating and welcome baggy jumpers and fluffy pajamas! I have to admit not going back to Uni this September is very odd but i'm excited for other things that will be happening. Now on to my favourites!

L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain in Lolita

I mentioned this product in my last post (link) i've been loving the shade Lolita is a gorgeous wearable everyday gloss. I'm so happy i got this one, its thick and creamy. I love the applicator it applies the product evenly and effortlessly. I can't wait to pick up more!

L'Oreal Lip Liner in Beige A Nu

If you follow my lip of the week posts you know i've gotten little obsessed with lip liners recently. My current favourite is this L'Oreal liner in 'Beige A Nu'. Its a gorgeous 90s nude that is great as a base for my lipsticks or as a stand alone lip product. Plus this one is really good for subtly over drawing your lips!  

Stila in the Light Palette 

I love this palette, it is one of the beautiful-est palettes i own. The rose gold packaging and the colour shade selection are right up my street. This is the first product i've tried from Stila and i'm really impressed, i can't wait to try more. My favourite and most used shades in this palette are 'Wheat' and 'Kitten'. 

Superdrug's Clearly Youthful Glycolic Peel Off Mask 

I love this face mask, i especially love that its a peel of mask. There is nothing more satisfying than peeling this mask off especially when it comes of in one go. It leaves my skin soft and smooth, you really notice a different after using it. And the best thing is its under £5! a real bargain! 

And of course another favouirte is my tiny baby <3 (My pregnancy announcement post) I have my 16 week appointment next week hopefully everything inside my womb is going well <3 I will keep you guys updated <3

February Favourites 2016

Hello darlings.

Today's post is my February favourites, i think i have finally got into the habit of writing 2016 instead of 2015! There have been quite a few products i have been loving this month all of them are relatively new things, i hope you enjoy :)

L'Oreal 'Eva's Nude' Lipstick

I bought this lipstick when i was in Edinburgh. I was looking for a nude lipstick that i could keep in my uni bag. I was looking at the L'Oreal stand as i love their lipsticks and have a couple fo them already and they haven't disappointed me. I believe the range has four nudes and Eva's was the most appealing to me. Although i think it is intended for darker skin tones but nonetheless i really like it and i think it suits me. Its gorgeous almost coral nude, not terribly long lasting but a lovely formula and feels nice on the lips.

B Anti-blemish Makeup Primer

This is my perfect primer it makes my makeup last all day, it smooth and doesn't dry my skin out. It is intend for oily and spot prone skin. I have dry skin so as first i was worried it would dry my skin out but i've been using it for a week or so now and it hasn't, if anything i think me skin is improving. I do have terribly spot prone skin and i haven't has many spots recently and i think its partly down to this. 

Real Techniques Sponge

I did a whole blog post on this wonderful little sponge so i wont bore you too much about it. (link) Its a gorgeous way of blending either foundation or concealer, i personally prefer to use it to blend my concealer. The shape of it means it fits under my eyes perfectly. You can use it wet or dry and its give the most wonderful finish. 

Maybelline Brow Drama

Lastly this is my current favorite brow product, i'm planning to do a review of this little beauty, just once i've taken the pictures! It gives definition and fullness to my brows, both for a natural and dramatic look. Although i rarely go for a natural look. The only downside to this product is i'm not a huge fan of the wand but it does work and love how it makes my brows look afterwards. This is perfect for a if you are in rush!

A Month In Pictures: January 2016

Hello darlings

I'm starting a new series on Perfect Fixations, i'm calling it a month in pictures. I'm documenting what i get up to with my friends and loved one throughout my each month. If anything it is a way for me to look by at my month way in the future and remember what happened and also a way of keeping all my pictures. Also its a way of making my blog more personal and letting you guys get to know me better.  Follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (PerfectFixation) to see where i post my pictures :)

January 1st:
New Year: This year i spent it with my boyfriend Will and his family. Unfortunately i spent the night throwing up, great way to start 2016 and i didn't even touch any alcohol! Other than that i really enjoyed it. 

I was kindly invited to join their family tradition of a New Years walk :)  

January: 4th My cats Sooty and Maximilian were haling me in the kitchen, more likely just wanting more food!

January 10th: Myself and Will have a little tradition, every Sunday he meets me after work and we have our date night. So over the next year you'll see a lot of food posts! We don't always go somewhere fancy, sometimes its just movie and take away food, or hang out in Costa until closing time! But we make the effort to see each other and spend time together, its our little thing <3 This time were went for something a little fancy, we had a gorgeous meal at Carluccio's. (We did get a little tipsy on a bottle a wine i must admit hehe)

January 11th: The cheeky little selfie before University.  I liked my hair and makeup in this picture.

January 16th: Good catch up with a couple of my best friends, Claire and Sapphire. We always go on road trips to IKEA or to the beach. We might go for a jog or even make some funny YouTube videos! Then as always we stop off to have a pub lunch! 

January 24th: Another date night this time we went to Wagamamas! But first Costa taking selfies and eating lots of cake!

January 25th: Another cheeky selfie.

January 29th: Can't believe will still has his Christmas Tree up!! And yes he keeps his helmet at the top where the star should be!

January Favourites 2016

Hello darlings.

Can you believe is already the end of January 2016? Before you know it will be 2017! Today's post is my January favourites. I only have couple of makeup products and two skin products this month as its been a pretty hectic month for me and i haven't used a lot of products. Nonetheless i hope you enjoy :) 

The first makeup product is one that i have mentioned several times on my blog and in my monthly favourites. The Sleek Contour Kit in 'Light', i'm not big on contouring so i don't use the contour side of the kit very often, although it is lovely. The highlighter on the other hand is my favourite highlighter i own! Its a gorgeous subtle highlighter that gives a perfect highlight to the tops of your cheeks. It also is very buildable so you can get a strong highlight.   

One of my latest purchases is my KIKO Blush in '112'. ( Sadly i couldn't find a link for it :( ) I know what you are thinking purple blush!? (the picture doesn't do it justice!) but i can promise you its the most natural flush to your cheeks! And look great it you apply to it the high points of your cheeks. My favourite kinds of blushes are browns, red and purples i don't usually wear pink blushes i feel they don't suite me or my skin tone. The packaging it matte black which is lovely and its feels lightweight and compact. A small amount goes a long way, its very pigmented. The product has a wonderful smell that you can still smell slightly on the face.  

The lipstick i have been consistently wearing this month is my MAC Lipstick in 'Brave'. This has been my most worn lipstick on 2016, although its only the end of January!! I find this lipstick is the most perfect every day colour that goes with almost any makeup look. I wont speak too much about it here is the link to my review of it. (link)

Lastly there are two body products i have really been loving this month. They are Soap and Glory Hand Food and the Soap and Glory Heel Genius, I got them both for Christmas as part of the limited edition gift set they bring out at the end of every year. They both have wonderful smell that lasts for ages on your skin! They both are thick texture that feels so luxurious on your skin, a real treat for your hands and feet.
