Mini Kiko Haul

Hello darlings

I'm sorry i've been a little MIA the last couple weeks, so much is going on. I'm getting ready to go back to work, (BOOO i don't want to leave Isaac but i gotta pay bills) I've got so many birthdays happening this month, preparing for my halloween party, and can't forget Christmas! So many things, but enough excuses if every other blogger can get regular content out then so can i!

This is a little KIKO haul i did at the end of Summer which feels like ages ago, so i'm sorry this has taken me so log to out up, i also have a e.l.f and Fragrance direct hauls coming too, so keep you eyes peeled for them! I only picked up a couple of things that i got in the sale but i thought i'd share them with you as i rarely shop in KIKO and don't get to talk about their products much.
First i picked up the Summer 2.0 Liquid Eyeliner. I picked this up for about £2.99 (sorry i can't remember the exact prices i lost the recent a month or so ago.) I've used this a few times and i am really impressed. Its a very thin tip which makes it very precise, its super black which is great! It dried fast and didn't smudge throughout the day, so a all round winner.

Second i picked up the Eyetech Look Eye shadow, i'm not sure how to describe this product. Its an eye shadow pen, where you dip the brush into the product in the lid. I picked it up in black which wasn't intentional, i meant to pick up the dark brown but oh well its still good for a smokey eye and it also cost under £3, so you can't go wrong. I haven't tried it out on the eye yet but on the back on my hand it looks very pigmented and applied well.
Next up i choose a Smart Fusion lip liner, £2.50, this wasn't in the sale, but i needed a new winter lip liner so i chose this one. This is the first lip liner i've tried from KIKO, i picked it up in the shade 529 (great name KIKO). Its a gorgeous berry colour, its not too dark so its perfect for a everyday look. Again i haven't tried it on my lips yet but i'm excited too, as it looks so pretty on the back of my hand.

Lastly i picked up the Summer 2.0 Mascara for about £3. This was an impulse buy as i didn't need any more mascaras and i rarely find one i like as much as the Maybelline Lash Sensational. This mascara has a completely different wand than any mascara i own so i knew i had to try it. So far i've only tried it once and i like it, i wouldn't say its a good as the Maybelline one but its good, especially for bottom lashes! So it wasn't a waste of money.
Overall i really like the products i picked up, i'll definitely be popping in again soon.

I'd love to know have you tried any of these products?
Or picked up any products from their sale?

KIKO Natural GREEN Concealer Review

Hello darlings

I've always wondered about green concealers, do they really work? Or are they just another makeup fad that is only popular because of Instagram? Nonetheless i thought i'd bite the bullet and try it, otherwise i'd never know. They sound like a really good idea especially for people with problem skin. I was in KIKO with my friend Evie and i saw they did green concealers so i picked one up. They were £5.50 and i thought that was a good price to try one.
You only get 3.8 ml of product which isn't a lot, its quite a tiny bottle for the price. But i guess its intended that you don't need to use a lot, but as someone who as a lots of acne scars and redness i need to use a lot of it so this won't last me very long. Other that the ml, the packaging is sleek and gorgeous like all of KIKO's makeup. The wand had a matte handle which i rather love.
The product doesn't provide a huge amount of coverage, it does reduce redness but doesn't completely neutralise it. So i still have to apply the same amount of my normal concealer on top that i would without this product underneath. It blends nicely but i wouldn't build it up as it turns quite green and shows underneath concealer. Also i wouldn't build it up as it tends to look cakey.
I'm torn on this product, i'm happy i picked it up but i wouldn't repurchased it. I might try another green concealer but as of today i'm not a fan. I really wanted this to work so i am disappointed it would have been a great product for me.

I'd love to know have you tried this concealer?
Would you recommend any other ones for me to try?

January Favourites 2016

Hello darlings.

Can you believe is already the end of January 2016? Before you know it will be 2017! Today's post is my January favourites. I only have couple of makeup products and two skin products this month as its been a pretty hectic month for me and i haven't used a lot of products. Nonetheless i hope you enjoy :)
The first makeup product is one that i have mentioned several times on my blog and in my monthly favourites. The Sleek Contour Kit in 'Light', i'm not big on contouring so i don't use the contour side of the kit very often, although it is lovely. The highlighter on the other hand is my favourite highlighter i own! Its a gorgeous subtle highlighter that gives a perfect highlight to the tops of your cheeks. It also is very buildable so you can get a strong highlight.

One of my latest purchases is my KIKO Blush in '112'. ( Sadly i couldn't find a link for it :( ) I know what you are thinking purple blush!? (the picture doesn't do it justice!) but i can promise you its the most natural flush to your cheeks! And look great it you apply to it the high points of your cheeks. My favourite kinds of blushes are browns, red and purples i don't usually wear pink blushes i feel they don't suite me or my skin tone. The packaging it matte black which is lovely and its feels lightweight and compact. A small amount goes a long way, its very pigmented. The product has a wonderful smell that you can still smell slightly on the face.

The lipstick i have been consistently wearing this month is my MAC Lipstick in 'Brave'. This has been my most worn lipstick on 2016, although its only the end of January!! I find this lipstick is the most perfect every day colour that goes with almost any makeup look. I wont speak too much about it here is the link to my review of it. (link)

Lastly there are two body products i have really been loving this month. They are Soap and Glory Hand Food and the Soap and Glory Heel Genius, I got them both for Christmas as part of the limited edition gift set they bring out at the end of every year. They both have wonderful smell that lasts for ages on your skin! They both are thick texture that feels so luxurious on your skin, a real treat for your hands and feet.

I'd love to know what are some of your favourite products for January 2016?
Have you tried any of these products?

And is anyone else still writing 2015 instead of 2016!?! Or is it just me.....

Lip Of The Week #19 KIKO Lipstick Pencil in '07' Vintage Rose

Hello darlings.

I have only tried 3 or 4 items from KIKO and all of them have impressed me so no wonder one of there lip products i bought last week has made it into my lip of the week!
(Scary close up)

Packaging:
I really like the packaging, it makes me think of NARS lipstick pencils,  its matte back with the colour at the end, which is handy, especially when you store them. You get 1.8 grams, which looks quite small but you don't need much a small amount goes a long way.

Texture:
The texture is creamy, glossy and really moisturizing. The lip pencil is not drying and doesn't dag along your lips like you get with many other lip pencils. Its not the most long lasting lip product i own, the creaminess goes quite fast but it leave a sort of stain on your lips which lasts a a couple hours.

Colour Payoff:
I was really surprised with how pigmented this product was, i thought it would be sheer and glossy when i swatched it on my hands. Its a natural, everyday colour that if you have followed my blog for a long time you know is my favourite kind! I found it easy to apply, you can do it without a mirror, so great for on the go.

Verdict:
The only part of this product i didn't like was the smell isn't the nicest but i am really fussy with how my makeup items smell so it just might be me. Other than that i really LOVE this product and i am so glad i picked one up.

I'd love to know have you tried any of KIKO's Lipstick Pencils?
What do you think of this one?

Lip Of The Week #17 KIKO Luscious Cream Lipstick

Hello darlings.

Today post is my next installment of my series Lip of the Week. This week it is this KIKO lipstick that i got from my friend for my birthday :)
This is a gorgeous deep red shade (I'm unsure of the shade name i think its just 513) its not a classic red like the Clinique one i got in my Glamour Magazine (link) but much more of an Autumn/Winter red which is great for this time of year. I'll start off with the packaging, its cool, its a silver bullet that you have to push in at the bottom and hear the click then it pops out, it took me an embarrassing amount of time trying to open it! Its creamy and really pigmented. It lasts a long time on the lips and when it fades it fades to a stain colour on your lips thats really flattering. This is the first lipstick i've tried from KIKO and i have to say so far i'm really impressed, i hope to try more from the range.

I'd love to know have you tried any KIKO lipsticks?
