Current Favourite Makeup Base // Summer 2020

Hello darlings.

Today post is all about what base products i have been loving in lock down. To be honest i haven't been wearing a lot of makeup in lock down but these are the products i have been reaching for when i have. They are products that create a minimal glowy look. Perfect for this beautiful weather we are having.

No7 Skin Illuminator: (£12.50) Who doesn't love a glow? I have quite dry skin so i prefer a dewy/glow base than a matte. I use a thin layer of this product underneath my makeup, a little goes a long way. It gives me a healthy glow, very natural and its great for summer. Its quick and easy product great for busy mums or of you are on the go a lot.

Relvon Colour Stay Foundation: (£12.99) This is an all time favourite foundation of mine, i think i've probably used it on and off for 10+ years now. Its the perfect colour for me, i have the shade buff. Normally i find pale foundations are more pink toned but this one is neutral. Its has good coverage, not to heavy but not sheer. Comes in two formulas one for oily/normal and one normal/dry and i have the latter. Its perfect texture and finish for my skin all year found.

YSL Touche Eclat: (£27.99) This is such a pretty concealer, its a brightening product which as a mum to a 3 year old and a newborn is much needed. Its a light formula, great for under the eyes, doesn't look to cakey or dry. I wouldn't use it on blemishes but with lock down and the little makeup i've been wearing i've had really clear skin so i can go without.

Mac Radiant Bronzer: (£23.50) This is the newest product to my collection, (my review) This powder is a satin finish as though its advertised as matte, giving a very luminous affect on the skin. 'Lit from within' i should say. The texture is creamy and glides on to the skin. Its quite pigmented, so a little goes a long way.

No7 Blush in Honey (£9.00) I got this in my No7 Advent Calender last year, i really love the colour. Its a perfect all year round colour, really pretty mauve brown. Its quite sheer so its easy not to go over the top!
I'd love to know what base products are you loving?
Have you tried any of these?

Trying a new concealer // Estee Lauder Double Wear // Review

Hello darlings.

Today i have a quick fire review for you. I treated myself to this concealer at the beginning of the year. The dark circles under my eyes are getting quite dark that i thought i'd spend a little but more money of a concealer and see if its any better than my other drugstore ones. I believe i bought it on Look Fantastic, i remember they had 15 % or 20% off certain products and this Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer was included. So i saw it as a sign and purchased it there and then! I haven't heard many people talk about this concealer i know a lot of people talk about the foundation, which i need to try! So i thought i'd share my thoughts for anyone looking to purchase this, i hope you enjoy!
Packaging: Its a small glass tube, which is standard concealer packaging. Nothing hugely special but it has a gold handle which i think makes it a little more elegant, this little touches sometimes make all the difference. It contains 7ml of product and has SPF 10 which is brilliant. I think all face products should have some level of SPF in!

Shade: There are 11 shades available which is a decent selection, i have it in the shade 1W (Light Warm) i normally would go for a more pink toned brightening concealer under my eyes but i decided to try something different. I wanted one that would cover my dark circles not just brighten.
Texture: Its really thick and creamy. I find it a little moisturizing but i always wear a moisturizer and eye cream, under my makeup anyway. Its very pigmented, a little goes a long way, so i only use one little swipe under my eyes and it blends are nicely. Its quite a matte finish but i powdered anyway to lock it in place.

Coverage: Its good at covering my dark circles but it does settle into my fine lines as you can see in the imagine below. But brilliant for blemishes and little imperfections i need covering. I use a beauty blender or my fingers to blend out the concealer as i do with all mine.
Longevity: Its lasts all day, i didn't have to retouch at all or powder. But i do have dry skin, have any oily skinned girls tried it? If so please share your thoughts in the comments below!

Would i buy again? Yes i would, i really like this concealer, i don't know if its worth £24.00 but i did really enjoy it so i would be prepared to spend it again. You can buy it here for £24.00

I'd love to know have you tried this concealer?

My Top Three Current Concealers // Drugstore

Hello darlings.

Today's post is just a quick one about my current top three concealers. I thought it would be fun to make a little series of my current top three products. I'd love to know if you guys would like that? I've done it in price order, cheapest to dearest, i hope you find this useful.
Collection Lasting Perfection £4.19. Who doesn't have this concealer? Everyone and their mother has tried this product. It has a very liquid texture, blends beautifully with both fingers, sponge or brush. I find this is great for dark circles and acne, its my go to concealer for covering my spots, as it provides a medium to full coverage. Out of all three concealers this is the longest lasting, it does exactly as it says on the tin. The only con is the colour range, its doesn't over much for dark skinned girls as the darkest shade is't dark at all.

Rimmel True Match £5.99. The lightest shade is the perfect colour match for my skin similar to the Collection concealer the shade range isn't great. I love the applicator on this product, i know not everyone gets on with the plastic applicator and prefer a doefer one. But i find the plastic one draws the concealer on to the skin perfectly. I find this product is much better for dark circles and highlighting rather than covering spots. I love that this is a highlighting product as lets be honest as a new mum i need a little help under the eyes!! No glitter in this product, which is a bonus. Who wants glittery under eyes. The texture is creamy and very thin, which is great as it doesn't leave you looking cakey.

Maybelline Age Rewind £8.99. Now that its coming up to Summer i'm whipping this bad boy out as the lightest shade is a little too dark for me in the Winter. This again similar to the Rimmel concealer i wouldn't use this to cover up spots, this is specifically designed to go under your eyes. I love the applicator, the sponge tip is a big win for me but i know a lot of people who don't like it and think its unhygienic but at the end of the day i'm the only one who is using it so its not an issue. It blends beautiful applies a very thin layer and disappears into the skin and makes your skin look gorgeous.

I'd love to know have you tried any of these three products?

KIKO Natural GREEN Concealer Review

Hello darlings

I've always wondered about green concealers, do they really work? Or are they just another makeup fad that is only popular because of Instagram? Nonetheless i thought i'd bite the bullet and try it, otherwise i'd never know. They sound like a really good idea especially for people with problem skin. I was in KIKO with my friend Evie and i saw they did green concealers so i picked one up. They were £5.50 and i thought that was a good price to try one.
You only get 3.8 ml of product which isn't a lot, its quite a tiny bottle for the price. But i guess its intended that you don't need to use a lot, but as someone who as a lots of acne scars and redness i need to use a lot of it so this won't last me very long. Other that the ml, the packaging is sleek and gorgeous like all of KIKO's makeup. The wand had a matte handle which i rather love.
The product doesn't provide a huge amount of coverage, it does reduce redness but doesn't completely neutralise it. So i still have to apply the same amount of my normal concealer on top that i would without this product underneath. It blends nicely but i wouldn't build it up as it turns quite green and shows underneath concealer. Also i wouldn't build it up as it tends to look cakey.
I'm torn on this product, i'm happy i picked it up but i wouldn't repurchased it. I might try another green concealer but as of today i'm not a fan. I really wanted this to work so i am disappointed it would have been a great product for me.

I'd love to know have you tried this concealer?
Would you recommend any other ones for me to try?

My New Holy Grail Product: Seventeen Concealer

Hello darlings

<3 I'm really enjoying getting back into blogging since my degree finished, i love it so much and i want to thank everyone who still reads my blog. <3

The past couple of years i've suffered with bad skin and i've tired hundreds of conceals to try and cover my spots, scares and dark circles. There are only a couple that i've continued to repurchase and this Seventeen Stay Time concealer has been a real life saver. I've not tried a lot from Seventeen apart from their miracle matte powder which is also amazing. But i'd heard lots of bloggers rave about this concealer so i finally purchased it and i am so happy that i did!

I'll start of buy saying this a is a great value for money concealer, its only £4.49. The applicator is good, its soft but not too soft and its easy to apply the product on. The product gives great coverage it builds up nicely and doesn't go cakey. I find it works best for under the eyes and it really works well on my blemishes as well as red patches. Its a gorgeous formula, not too thick not too runny, its creamy and blends beautifully. I don't find it sets too quick so you have time to blend in giving a silky almost dewy finish. I have dry skin so i don't tend to set my base, this lasts a long time without a powder for me but if you have oily skins i would suggest it.

I have to say when products claim to last for a certain amount of time, nine times out of ten it doesn't not even close. But this oh my God it lasts all day, it does last over 18 hours. Late nights at the uni library proved this for me. Great colour range, not so much for deeper tones unfortunately but it is BRILLIANT for super pale gals. I got mine in the shade 'Fair' but there is a lighter shade too. Its a really good shade match for me, the perfect tone.

You can buy it here for £4.49

I'd love to know have you tried this concealer?
Would you recommend an good ones for me to try?

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer Review.

Hello darlings

Today i have for you my thoughts on a new concealer i have been trying. My favourite concealer is Collection's lasting perfection in 'light' but i have just run out of it so i thought i would try something different for a change. So i picked up one of Maybelline's concealers from their fit me range. I have yet to try anything from this range but i have liked some of Maybelline's other concealers.

As always i'll start with the packaging, i really like it, i think its sleek but simple.
It has good coverage, its buildable and blends really well. I find a little goes a long way so this tube will last me a long time which is great. It worked really well for my dark under eye circles and blemishes. I didn't find it very brightening like my Collection one does but i think thats due to the colour i got. I picked it up in the shade '10' which i assumed was the lightest shade buts its quite dark. Its very blendable so its not too noticeable but when looking at in on the skin before or in the tube it looks really dark.

I think its a good price at only £5.99 you can buy it here
Overall i really like it and do recommend it :)

Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts on it?
