** Bargain Alert** Seventeen Makeup

Hello darlings

Today post is a super quick one, its more of a 'just to let you know'. I already mentioned it on my Instagram last week (link, you should check it out wink wink) But sadly Boots are discounting their makeup brand Seventeen, i know so many childhood memories for so many of us. I bought my first ever makeup from Seventeen and Natural Collection. Going to boots with my mum when i was 13 and trying to convince her that i needed it!

But on the other hand by discounting it they have a 70% off sale, which is great. I popped on their website last week and purchased all this for £10! It should have cost my £37! I thought i would also put it up on my blog to let you guys know before it all sells out, go go go!!
I am yet to try anything (apart from the brow pencil and powder as they have been my staple makeup items for years and i am very sad that i will no longer be able to get them)

I picked up:
The Define And Contour Kit: £1.80 (Was £5.99)
2 Miracle Matte Pressed Powder: £1.20 (Was £3.99)
Brow Definer: 87p (Was 2.89)
Skin Wow Concealer: £1.50 (Was £4.99)
Easy On The Eye Palette: £2.40 (Was £7.99)
Instant Glow Bronzing Powder: £1.38 (Was £4.59)
Dual Ended Brow Sharpener: (It was free when you buy 2 or more products!)

I'd love to know what memories do you have of Seventeen makeup?
Are you sad this going?

My New Holy Grail Product: Seventeen Concealer

Hello darlings

<3 I'm really enjoying getting back into blogging since my degree finished, i love it so much and i want to thank everyone who still reads my blog. <3

The past couple of years i've suffered with bad skin and i've tired hundreds of conceals to try and cover my spots, scares and dark circles. There are only a couple that i've continued to repurchase and this Seventeen Stay Time concealer has been a real life saver. I've not tried a lot from Seventeen apart from their miracle matte powder which is also amazing. But i'd heard lots of bloggers rave about this concealer so i finally purchased it and i am so happy that i did!

I'll start of buy saying this a is a great value for money concealer, its only £4.49. The applicator is good, its soft but not too soft and its easy to apply the product on. The product gives great coverage it builds up nicely and doesn't go cakey. I find it works best for under the eyes and it really works well on my blemishes as well as red patches. Its a gorgeous formula, not too thick not too runny, its creamy and blends beautifully. I don't find it sets too quick so you have time to blend in giving a silky almost dewy finish. I have dry skin so i don't tend to set my base, this lasts a long time without a powder for me but if you have oily skins i would suggest it.

I have to say when products claim to last for a certain amount of time, nine times out of ten it doesn't not even close. But this oh my God it lasts all day, it does last over 18 hours. Late nights at the uni library proved this for me. Great colour range, not so much for deeper tones unfortunately but it is BRILLIANT for super pale gals. I got mine in the shade 'Fair' but there is a lighter shade too. Its a really good shade match for me, the perfect tone.

You can buy it here for £4.49

I'd love to know have you tried this concealer?
Would you recommend an good ones for me to try?

My top 5 under £5

Hello darlings

My last top 5 under £5 was when i first started blogging about two years ago so i thought it was time for a new one! I always love these types of posts and as you can find some real bargains! It also shows you don't need to spend a lot of money on good products.

First up is this great budget powder, i think it is one of the best you can find on the high street. I love the Rimmel Stay Matte but i found myself repurchasing the Seventeen one more than the Rimmel. Its very finely milled that keeps you matte all day. Its a great bargain for under £5 as it lasts a long time.

This is my newest concealer and its quickly become a staple in my everyday makeup routine. If you follow me on Instagram (link hint hint) then you'll see i mention it frequently in my FOTD's. I find this is perfect for under eyes, it doesn't crease or settle into fine lines and it is long lasting. Plus it is great for people with very fair skin as it has a very light shade, but the shade range doesn't go very deep so sadly its not good for deeper skin tones as the deepest shade is medium.

If you are looking for a quick touch up for your brows this is brilliant especially if you're in a rush! Its is also really good if you don't need to draw in your brows and you just need to add a little something. It gives brows a fuller appearance and adds thickness and colour. If you do need to fill in your brows then this can be used just to set them.

I mentioned the Make Up Academy eye shadow palettes in my last 5 under £5. I was going to put a Makeup Revolution palette in this post instead of mentioning MUA again but i don't have any of their palettes under £5. I have the Iconic Pro ones and Salvation palettes but they are a little more money. I might save them for a top 10 under £10! Nonetheless i still love MUA, their eye shadows are very similar to Makeup Revolution. Very pigmented, easy to blend and long lasting. A real bargain!

Most of the lip liners i've tried from the high street tend to be rough, dry and drag along your lips. But not this Essence lip liners, they are creamy, pigmented and come in many wearable shades. They are so good they can be worn on their own. I definitely need to pick up more of these!

I'd love to know have you tried any of these products?
What are some of you favourite products under £5?

The 5 Product Face | Perfect Fixations

Hello Darlings.

Todays post is the 5 product face, i saw a few of these videos a while ago and thought as my current makeup routine is pretty simple makeup at the moment that this would be the perfect post. Its effortless, quick and simple, especially if you are in a rush!
I hope you enjoy :)
Products:
Maybelline Anti-age Concealer in 'Light' This is one of the best concealers i've tried, it blends beautifully, gives great coverage and i really like the sponge applicator, which i know a lot of people have an issue with.
Seventeen Brow Pencil in 'Natural Brown' This has quickly become my holy grail brow product, you may have seen it a lot on my blog recently, its the perfect texture and colour for me which i really struggle with.
Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 Palette (My review) I love this palette, the pigmentation is wonderful and there is a huge colour selection, you can create so many looks from this beauty!
Maybelline Falsie Mascara in 'Black' This is a rediscovery for me, its a great lengthening mascara, i love the shape of the wand, its great for giving you that length and curl which my short stubby lashes lack.
Revlon Balm Stain in 'Honey' Lastly this lip crayon is the perfect summer shade, a subtle pink thats easy to wear and effortless to apply!

I'd love to know have you tried any of these products?
What 5 products would you use?

First Haul of 2015! | Perfect Fixations

Hello darlings.
Today i have for you a couple of goodies i picked up over the last couple of days. Its only a little haul as i'm trying to save a little money (which never goes to plan) but i thought i'd share it with you!
Most of these products are Revlon as they have become my favourite drug store makeup brand. Plus there are some good offers in Boots and Superdrug at the moment some items are either £5 each or 2 for £10, so i got a couple of items. I got two more of the Matte Balms in 'Elusive' a super Barbie pink and 'Standout' which is a very deep classic 1940's red. Both i really love! I also picked up one of the colour stay Ultimate Suede Lipsticks in 'socialite' which is a very pretty matte nude. Last from Revlon i got one of their mascaras, i got the Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara in 'Black'. I am yet to try this but its really sounds cool. Also i picked up my first ever W7 Palette, in 'Out On The Town' i've heard people rave about W7 palettes so i new i had to try one. This was only £2.99 in a discounted makeup shop. The last item is a re-buy, as much as i love the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder i also really love the Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder and will contuine to buy this. I got this in 'Ivory Porcelain'.

I hope you enjoyed this little haul, i'd love to know have you bought any new makeup items recently? How are you finding them?
