A Little Superdrug Haul

Hello darlings

It has been ages since i've done a haul, since i no longer work in the town centre, i work in middle of nowhere i don't have the opportunity to go shopping as often. Now i have to make the effort to go in when in reality i don't wanna leave my bed! Hence why this haul i did online..... I saw that Superdrug were doing 3 for 2 so i knew i had to have a little nose, also online there was a sale on Revolution. This sale included their new items, so i had no excuse not to by any, my hands were tied. And all this only came to £20! i do love a bargain.

I also picked up the new MUA foundation to try as i've heard good things about it. I haven't tried any of these products yet so just first impression on this post, reviews to follow!
Revolution Highlighter Reloaded in 'Just my type'. Sadly this highlighter smashed in the post (see next picture), which i was very disappointed about. But it does look a beautiful colour and i will see if i can selvage it!

Revolution Bronzer Reloaded in 'Long Weekend'. I'm not really a baked bronzer kind of person i normally like a matte bronzer so i can contour with it too. But this look so pretty i really wanted it give it ago. I really look forward to using this in the summer as its the perfect bronze shade for my skin tone.

Revolution Jelly highlighter in 'Prestigious'. This highlighter is the item i am most excited about, i've never tried a product like this before. I've swatched it on my hand and it is BEAUTIFUL. I chose the more pink toned one, it isn't too pink more a champagne pink.

Revolution Iconic Light and Contour palette. This palette is a repurchase, i love the contour palettes from Revolution so i know i needed to repurchase this, i always need one i  my collection. The colour selection is fab and the pigment is great, you can't go wrong.

Revoultion Matte Base Powder in 'P1 and P7'. I picked up two of these powders, P1 for my all over base and P7 to b bronze/contour. I have to admit i thought P7 would be a little dark, but still for my pale skin i'm hoping it will work. They are a lot bigger than i was expecting.
Revolution Eye Glisten in 'Its Fate'. Everyone has seen the HUDA Beauty Liquid Eye Shadows, and i believe these Eye Glistens are a dupe of them. I choose the gold one and swatching it i'm really excited to try it, its so pigmented and beautiful! I think i need to also buy one of the HUDA ones as they look so beautiful as well.

Revolution Matte Base' F2'. Every time Revolution release a new foundation you know its gonna be good. So i picked up the new Matte Base, i'm not normally a huge fan of matte foundation as i have dry skin, but i'm excited to try this as it might be good for the warmer weather.

MUA Pro Base Long Wear Foundation in '#120'. Lastly the last product in the 3 for 2 which isn't Revolution. I've love MUA foundation in the past so when i saw they had a new one i really wanted to try it and it was on sale on the website too, so i knew it was meant to be. Again its matte but i really looking forward to trying it. If its really good then it will be inexpensive to repurchase.

I'd love to know have you bought any new products recently?
Or of you've tried any of these?

Revolution Makeup has done it again.....

 Hello darlings.

So i did it again.... i bought more makeup (someone needs to stop me) but to be fair I haven't purchased a new foundation in ages (After writing these have bought a couple more....ooops, i know i'm terrible, Bad Jessica! ) When i first saw this on the Revolution Instagram i knew i had to have it, it called my name. With a heart beat went on to the Superdrug website and purchased it, plus it was 3 for 2 so how could i not! If you'd like to know what else i purchased let me know and i'll haul it for you lovelies.

I LOVE the conceal and define concealer so when i saw they had a foundation to match i was so excited! So here are my thoughts, i hope you enjoy.
Packaging:
Its basically a huge version of the the concealer, its kinda unreal. It is bizarre holding it, i don't know how to describe it. Its a nice heavy glass bottle, feels study, good quality, it feels a lot more expensive than £9! Its not a pump bottle its the same as the concealer with dofer applicator. Which i really like, it like the way of applying things, it means i can't use to much and waste any, but i can see why people might not like it for sanity reasons.

Shade:
24 shades! Same as concealer, incredible. I chose the shade F2 which i also have it in the Revolution Pro concealer and foundation and the fast base concealer and foundation. But the conceal and define concealer i have in F1, F2 is more yellow based and F1 more neutral. Pop onto the revolution website as they are better at describing all the shade and their undertones than i am! Its a nice colour, a tad too light for me know, i still have a little tan from summer but gave it a month or two and it will be perfect!
Texture and Finish:
Its a really thick and creamy consistency, you only need a little! It definitely feels like the concealer only larger. The finish is flawless, you skin doesn't look like skin, it looks air brushed and photographs really well. It makes my skin feel soft which is a bonus.

Blendabilty: and Layering:
It blended out nicely, i used both a brush and a beauty blended on different occasions, i think the beauty blended worked a little nicer. Layering the foundation did turn a little cakey so i will stick with one layer maybe adding a little extra under my eyes. When i put my contour, blush and highlight on top it layered really nicely.
Long lasting?
I wore this foundation for work and it lasted really nicely, i probably worn this for 10-12 hours.

Overall i'm super impressed with this foundation and i'm so glad i purchased it! Makeup revolution you did it again! You can purchase it here.

I'd love to know have you tried this foundation?
What else should i try from Revolution?

Kisses x

Travel essentials // Part 2 // Makeup

Hello darlings.

A couple of weeks ago i posted my skincare travel essentials today's post is the follow up with my travel makeup essential. I didn't do them in one post otherwise it would have been the longest post ever! These are the products that i can't live without, that i use everyday and i had to take with me. I tend to take palettes or multipurpose products to reduce the space it takes up in my luggage.
Base:
L'Oreal True Match Foundation In Warm Ivory: £9.99. This foundation is a tad dark for me but its the right yellow undertone, i find most foundation are far too pink for me. But i find if i blend it well and add a lighter concealer it looks perfect! Its long lasting and creates a really nice coverage. I would have taken the Makeup Revolution Fast Base but i hadn't purchased it buy that point.

Makeup Revolution Concealer And Define Concealer in C1: £4.00. I love this concealer i can totally see why it broke the internet, why every is obsessed with it, its brilliant! I have it in C1 which at the time was the lightest now they have C0, C.05. But i find C1 is a good colour, if anything i think its a tad too light! Which never happens with concealer for me, so i'm really happy with this product.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder In Translucent: £3.99. I've had this powder for years, its a good standard powder that sets my makeup and keeps the oil away. A powder i think everyone needs and i can't travel without.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette: £8.00. This is my holy grail product i can't live without it. The light contour shade is perfect for my skin tone and the highlighter is so beautiful and subtle but you can really build it up! Both in one handy palette perfect for going away.
L to R: L'Oreal Foundation, MR Concealer. MR Contour and Highlight shades.

Brows:
Max Factor Brow Shaper In Brown: £7.99. I can't go anywhere without this brow product, it literally lives in my handbag. Its a very fine pencil which means i get a precise brow, i can create a good shape. Its not too waxy or pigmented so i can't go over board. Long lasting, smudge prove, its exactly what i'm looking for. Great comb on the end too!

Eyes:
Stila Eyes Are The Window Of The Soul Palette: £30.00. I love Stila cosmetics, The packaging is so beautiful and a little piece of luxury to me. Great selection of everyday colours which match any skin tone and makeup look. You can create so many different looks for both day and evening with this palette. Definitely an all round brilliant palette.

Maybelline Liquid Eyeliner: £5.99 I've been using this liner for years, i've tried so may but i keep coming back to this one, i love it. Its a very find tip, very pigmented, i know it lasts all day and wont let me down.

Nip And Fab Mascara: £9.95. I got this is the Nip and Fab set i bought on Black Friday which was an amazing deal! (post here) I've only just got round to using this one as i still had a couple of other mascaras on the go at the time. This is a really nice mascara, the wand is a nice small shape so it really catches all the lashes, it gives me length and volume.

L to R Max Factor Brow pencil, Stila Palette a couple of shades, Maybelline line.

Lips
L'Oreal Lipstick In Erotique: £6.99. I love this shade especially for going out in the evening, i've always enjoyed L'Oreal lipsticks. I've never had a L'Oreal lip product that i didn't like. This one is so creamy and pigmented.

Mac Lipstick In Velvet Teddy: £17.50. Lastly my long time favourite, and i think one that is everyone loves. This is a classic nude, i think this is perfect for everyday, its quick and easy to just throw on. You know it goes with all makeup looks. Its a comfortable matte, that is long lasting and fades away nicely.
L to R: L'oreal Erotique and Mac Velvet Teddy

The £5 foundation // Makeup Revolution // Fast Base

Hello darlings.

Makeup Revolution have done it again, they have brought out another 'break the internet' product and i'm so happy to have finally got my hands on it. I know they launched Fast Base Stick Foundation online about a month ago but i wanted to swatch the shades in store before i purchased one, so i waited till they were stocked in Superdrug. I'm not gonna lie ive not tried a stick foundation before, so i don't have any to compare it to. I have dry skin so i wasn't sure how this was gonna sit on my skin, but for £5 i thought why not give it a chance! I have it in the shade F1 which is the lightest, so here are my thoughts!

What it claims:
Foundation just got faster! Launching in 18 shades and a range of undertones, Fast Base Foundation quickly perfects, contours and highlights your complexion. The easy-to-apply stick formula melts into skin, blending seamlessly to leave a fresh and dewy finish. Twist up, swipe on and blend out with fingers, a beauty sponge or your favourite foundation brush.
Packaging: Its a simple pale nude tube, when you take the lid off the tube underneath is gold which is very pretty. You get 6g of product which i think is a good amount for £5, but as i mentioned i don't own any other stick foundation to compare it to. But googling it the Anastasia Beverly Hill Stick Foundation has 9.1g for £25 so 6g for £5 is really good.

Shades: So far there are 18 shades, which is pretty impressive, i have F1. I know they've launched more shades for the concealer so i wouldn't be surprised if they launch more for the foundation sticks. In the description on their website it describes each shade to you so its really easy to find a shade that matches you, really useful!
F1 – For fair skin tones with neutral undertone
F2 – For fair skin tones with yellow undertone
F3 – For fair skin tones with pink undertone
F4 – For light skin tones with neutral undertone
F5 – For light skin tones with pink undertone
F6 – For light/medium skin tones with yellow undertone
F7 – For medium skin tones with peach undertone
F8 – For medium skin tones with yellow undertone
F9 – For medium skin tones with a peach undertone
F10- For medium skin tones with a golden undertone
F11 – For medium/dark skin tones with a beige undertone
F12 – For medium/dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
F13 – For dark skin tones with a warm undertone
F14 – for dark skin tones with a cool undertone
F15 – for dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
F16 – for dark skin tones with a warm undertone
F17 – for dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
F18 – for dark skin tones with a warm undertone
Applying it: I apply a small amount at a time and then blend it. I like to do it in sections in case it dries and then i can't blend it. Doing it this way really worked and it blended really well.

Coverage: The coverage is light /medium to me, i do think its buildable. I think its a really good coverage for every day wear.  It feels really nice and light on the skin.

Finish: Its very much a satin/dewy finish, if you like a matte foundation this is not for you. This foundation has a very dewy finish, it is described as a satin, but on my skin its not. It makes my skin look very glowy. I do use powder on top just to set it as i do with all my foundations.
Longevity: It lasted on my skin without touching up for about 12 hours, so i'm pretty impressed.

Price: £5! how could you go wrong, its crazy cheap. You can buy it here

I'd love to know have you tried this foundation?

March Favourites 2018

Hello darlings

I've blinked and March has gone! Anyone else? But i have to admit i have very excited to turn the heating off, open the windows and get my sunglasses out! Normally Winter is my favourite season, i mean Christmas, Halloween, my birthday, Will and Isaac's birthday all happen in Winter but since living on my own this year, bills! Need i say more

Anyway back to my post, haven't done a monthly favourites for a little while. I have to admit i haven't been able to blog as much as i wanted to. Being a mum and working takes up 99% of my day, but i'm trying to find a healthy balance between Isaac, Will, house work, work, sleep and hobbies. So hopefully watch this space.
I LOVE this palette, my beautiful fiance Will bought it for me for my birthday last November and i've hit pan on one shadow and nearly on another 2, i love it so much. I use it most days its so versatile, i can create so many looks with these shadows and they are all on one palette which is so handy.  They are creamy and blend beautifully, overall a fab product.

I've only had this for about a month as it was sold out everywhere! I got it in the lightest shade, C1. Its a good colour match, if anything it might be a little too light, but that makes it perfect for brightening up under the eye. Its full coverage, good for hiding my dark circles, but if i put too much on it sinks into my fine lines around my eyes so be aware of that if you are thinking of purchasing this..

This is at the moment my holy grail brow pencil, its the perfect texture. Its firm but not too firm that so it creates a natural brow. Its a very fine tip so you can create hairs that are not there perfect for every day.

I use these pads at night after i've taken my makeup off, they are a quick and easy way to exfoliate. My feel feels so good for using them, it leaves it soft and cleansed. I much prefer a chemical exfoliator to a manual gritty one, this one is so much gentler on the skin and i enjoy using them more.

This is marketed as a anti-wrinkle cream, and although i have fine lines i'm not quite at the wrinkle stage yet. But this is the nicest face cream i've used in ages, i can't put into words how my skin feel after using this. I bought it after A Model Recommends mentioned it in a video last month. I'm so glad i bought it! It feels so silky smooth on the skin, its has a really nice creamy texture, a small amount goes a long way.

I'd love to know what are some of your Match Favourites?

My Current Favourites // July 2017

Hello darlings!

Can you believe it is already the end of July! What? Where is this year going? I can't believe Isaac is now 5 months old. I haven't done a favourites post for a while as i feel i'm not using enough different products month to month to fill a post and to make it worth reading and i don't want to just put products in a post for the sake of making a post. So i'm just going to do them when i feel like i have something i really want to share with you guys.
Botanic Eye Serum: i reviewed this in my previous post (link) this has been my favourite skincare product this month, i haven't put it down! I use it in the morning before i put on my makeup, i have always found putting a eye cream under on before your concealer it make sit last longer. I also put a lot of before i go to bed, i really smoother it on! The product is great for reducing my dark circles and frown lines, its one of new holy grails.

Calvin Klein Lipstick in 'Undressed': this is one of the best everyday lipstick i own and it feel a little special as its a high end one that i got form less than £4, to find out how (post). The packing is so cute, i love the feel of it, it feels expensive. The product smells wonderful, like Mac lipsticks but stronger. Its pigmented and glides on the lips beautifully. I think this will definitely be making it into a lip of the week soon, so look out for that one!

Makeup Revolution Contour Palette: Who doesn't own some sort of contour palette from Makeup Revolution? They are so amazing, you can see i've already hit pan on the highlighter shade. I wear the highlight daily, i provides quite a strong highlight so you might not like it if you prefer more subtle sheen. I try to wear a light contour as much as i can but lets be honest who has time, especially with a 5 month old, can i get an amen from the mummy bloggers out there....

Nuxe Rev De MielThis is a luxury lip balm, its so creamy and smells wonderful, like oranges, mmm just thinking about it makes me want to put it on. I wouldn't recommend wearing this as a everyday product, its more of a mask that is best applied at night or as a treat during a pamper day/evening.
*** New Instagram***
I'd really appreciate it if you could check out my new Instagram page, i use to put all my blog posts on my personal one but now i've decided to split the two.  Let me know if you followed, put your Insta link in the comments and i'll check out your Insta!

I'd love to know have you tired any of these products?
What are some  of you July Favourites?

Makeup Revolution Retro Luxe Lip Kits // Review.

Hello darlings

As usual i'm sorry for my absence i still don't have wifi in my new house (booo!) but for the next week i'm cat/house sitting for my friend who has gone to Canada so i have her wifi woo! So hopefully i can get a few posts up as i'm bursting with motivation! Last week i popped into Superdrug and i pick up one of the much talked about Makeup Revolution Lip Kits. I love matte liquid lipsticks so i was so exited to try a new one and i'm a massive fan of Makeup Revolution so i had high hopes.
I really like the packaging, i think it looks really smart and professional. Looks more expensive than drugstore, i really like when products have outer packing it looks so much better and you want to pick them up and collect them all. Opening the box inside is a lip liner and liquid lipstick similar to the Kylie Jenner lip kits. Opening up the tube there wasn't really any scent which is good.
The pigmentation of the liquid lipstick is fantastic its thick and opaque after one applicator. Its didn't apply patchy which can be an issue for these type of products. The liner was creamy and glided on to the lips really well, so far so good! I choose the colour reign as it looked like the perfect nude, i don't think my pictures are the best. Its much paler than i thought, although its not the worst nude (not concealer lips!) it doesn't match my skin tone. the liner is a lot pinker than the liquid lipstick, i have to say i do prefer the colour of the liquid lipstick more than the liner pencil. I really want to try Echelon which is more of a brownish nude and more my skin of tone.
The longevity was really good but came at the cost of comfort, GOD my lips were dry after  only an hour or so. At first it felt really good, it didn't sink into the lines in my lips or feel uncomfortable. Its good to put on to take a picture but to wear for work or uni its not the best. I'm so disappointed Makeup Revolution.

I'd love to know have you tried any of these lip kits?
What are your thoughts? Am i the only one who didn't get on with them?

REVIEW Makeup Revolution Contour Palette

Hello darlings.

Thank so much for the 26,000 views! <3 I'm so happy that people are still taking the time to read my blog.

Today's post is a quick review of a new product i bought a couple weeks ago, the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette. I know there is a million reviews on this but i thought i'd offer my thoughts too. I've never been a one to contour, i'm not very good at it and 9 times out of 10 its goes wrong. But i think that was down to the shade i was using, they were too dark, too muddy looking or too orange. So when i saw this budget palette that offered a light brown shade and three gorgeous highlighters, i knew i had to buy it.

Packaging: The packaging is the same as most of Makeup Revolutions palettes, which are sleek and compact but it does make looking for the one you're looking for hard. I have seven palettes from Makeup Revolution which are eye shadows, highlighting palettes, a blush palette and two the contour one and its hard remembering which is which when i have them stacked together. I also find them quite bulky for travel, but that's just my feeling towards it. But other than that its sturdy so it would travel well if you have the room.

Pigmentation:You get five mattes, one satin and two shimmery shades, the palette has the perfect mixture. All are very pigmented, even the lighter shades. I can use all the shades which i wasn't expecting, i thought i would only be able to use the lightest brown shade and the highlighters but i can get away with all of them, even the dearest if i'm light handed!

Blend ability: They blend effortlessly and beautifully. It applies nicely to the skin and you can create a very natural look.

Swatched from right to left of the top row of the palette. (the only way i could get a good shot)
Swatched from the shimmer shade on the bottom row down. The middle brown is perfect for fair skin,

Would i recommend? Yes, i have yet to be disappointed with a Makeup Revolution product, i think this is a great budget palette, Its only £8 you can buy it here.

I'd love to know have you tried this this contour palette?
Could you recommend any good ones?

My Current Obsession: Highlighting

Hello darlings.

I'm so sorry i haven't posted in a while, life has been pretty hectic recently. I've had so many Uni work submission dates, lots of extra hours at work (but yay more money!) plus i went on holiday with my family and boyfriend to Scotland last week which was lovely. Anyway back to today's post! I have to admit recently i've become a little obsessed with highlighters. They have completely changed my life and i can't go without applying a little glow to the tops of my checks! I have chosen my top four for today.s post, otherwise it would be a extremely long post and we'd been hear for hours. I hope you enjoy :)
This was the first highlighting product that i purchased and i have to admit it is my favourite that i own (Sshhh don't tell the others). The texture is buttery soft and incredibly smooth. It applies and blends like a dream. The product is well pigmented. There are three shades, the first one is subtle, the next one is quite glittery and the last one is very golden. My favoruite would be the first, to me its the most wearable, you can even get away with wearing it all over the face to give you a glow. The second i wear int he evening as more a statement abut unfortunately the golden one doesn't really suite my skin tone. The only down side for me is the packaging, although it is sleek and sexy it is quite large in size so not the best for travel. It is similar to their palettes so its hard to tell them apart.
At first i bought this for the contour side, i really wanted to get into 'sculpting' my face but it never really worked out for me and i've given up a little with the whole contouring thing. This isn't down to this product its due to my skills, of lack of! The contouring shade is nice, it isn't too orange and its easy to blend to give a natural look if applied lightly. But i found i fell in love with the highlighting side, so money not wasted! Its pigmented, its a gorgeous champagne shade that is the most beautiful. The product is really easy to blend, not as creamy as the previous product but still gorgeous all the same.
This is a new purchase for me, i only bought this product about a month ago and i'm really enjoying it. It is definitely a speedy product, as the name suggests, very good if you are in a rush! It literally only takes just one swipe on the tops of your cheeks and its done! The stick is a good size, its no to big which was one of the things i was a little worried about. This is the only cream highlighter i own, i don't know many companies that make a cream highlighters (apart from the new L'Oreal one) but this one has really impressed me. Again a champagne colour that is not too shimmery. It has nice packaging, its nothing fancy but it does the job.
Lastly I wont say too much about this blush as i wrote a whole review on it a few weeks back. (link) This is very glittery product and that is the main reason i don't use it as a blush that its intended for but makes a beautiful highlighter if you apply it subtlety. Its very pigmented in a glittery way more than a colour pay off. The product similar to the first makeup revolution product i mentioned has three colours a gold, peach, silvery colour. The silvery one is the part i use the most just to add a little something to the high points of my face.

I'd love to know have you caught the highlighting bug?
What are some of your favourite highlighters?

Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Blusher Review

 Hello darlings.

Today's post is a little review of the Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Blusher in 'Iced Hearts'. I picked this up a week or so back and i thought i'd share my thoughts on it with you. I've collected quite a few products over the last month or so and as its quite a few i can't decide if i should do a blog post or make a video? Let me know you what you'd prefer :)
Packaging:
The packaging looks really cute and is it the main reason why i wanted to buy one of these baked blushers. It looks good on your dresser. However it feels cheep when you hold it and it squeaks if you put too much pressure on it when you swatch it, which was rather disappointing and i worried it not secure enough and the clue may come unstuck.

Texture:
Its is a beautiful and creamy texture that applied really smoothly and effortlessly.

Colour Payoff:
As always with Makeup Revolution the product is highly pigmented, it is very strong but not strong colour payoff it is much more of a more strong glittery/shimmer that is very pigmented. Its neutral and subtle but shimmery product. There is three colours, a mixture of gold, peach and silvery/bronze colour, each very beautiful even if there is not a huge colour pay off.

Verdict:
I think its too glittery for me personally to use as a blusher but i do really like using it as a highlighter and its gives a beautiful highlight to the tops of my cheeks and on my brow bone. I think it adorable but i don't think i will buy anymore, the packaging is a little cheap and there wasn't a huge colour payoff. But i am going to enjoy using it as a highlighter.

I'd love to know have you tried any of the Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Blushers?
What did you think?

November Favourites: 2015

Hello darlings

Can you believe it is December 1st!! I'm so excited, its finally the Christmas Season! Who else is excited? Although today's post isn't very Christmasy it is my latest favourites, my November ones to be specific. I hope you enjoy :)
I'll start of with a product thats no stranger on my blog, my Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencil in 'Berry Much' i have a couple of these pencils and i love them. They are quick and easy to use, very pigmented, creamy and long lasting, everything i'm looking for in a lip product. I have especially been loving berry much this month, its the perfect winter shade.

I haven't had the Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette very long, only a month or so but it has fast become my staple makeup item. Its the most gorgeous palette i own, not necessarily packaging wise, it very basic, but definitely the product. The first pinkish shade is my favourite it provides the most gorgeous light sheen, perfect for everyday!

Again this product is no stranger to my blog No7 Nail Polish in 'Deep Wine' i got this little nail polish in my No7 advent calendar last year and i have loved it ever since. Its the perfect berry colour, again perfect for this season!

Lastly is this Sleek Blush in 'Suede', i love sleek blushes i think they are great value for money. The packaging is well sleek, its cute and compact. This one, suede, is my favourite, it is definitely a autumn colour but i wear it all year round. The product is very pigmented and a small amount goes a long way.

I'd love to know what are some of you guy's favouirtes are this month?
And are you excited for Christmas?!
