Bargain Haul // First Impression

Hello darlings

Today is a bargain Tuesday post! While i was breastfeeding Isaac i was having a little nose at the Fragrance Direct website, ( i know naughtly!) i bought a few items from them last year and i was really impressed so i thought why not treat myself to a couple of things. I bought all these for £20! 'much cheapness' as my mother-in-law would say! Considering the Calvin Klein lipstick alone would be £20!
I'll start with eye products, i bought two L'Oreal powder eye shadows and one Bourjois crayon one. The two L'Oreal single shadows i've been wanting for ages, when i see these cheap websites that sell branded makeup you always expect them to have only the really bright or bold colours but no they had lots of nudes and bronzes. I got one in 'Coconut' (£1.99) which is is a brilliant pale matte base and one gorgeous copper gold in 'nude' (£1.50). The Bourjois crayon (£1.99) is a little more daring for me its purple, but i subtle purple that is very summery. I think it would be great for a softer smokey eye or just a hint of colour.
I only bought one base item as i'm never sure with the colours, but i saw that they has Max Factors foundations (£4.51) and i'd never tried one. I was so happy when i saw they had the shade 'fair' available! An its matches me perfectly. I only tried it once yesterday. Its a sheer to medium coverage but great for the summer and for more natural looking days.

Now lips, these were my gems! I bought both a Calvin Klein and a Elizabeth Arden lipstick! I choose the Calvin Klein (£4.99) in 'Undressed' which a creamy brownish- nude, the thing i love most is the packaging, its gorgeous, it has a matte lower half, it feels so luxurious. I've never tried anything from Elizabeth Arden, but i've heard so many good things about their skin care but n'd hear nothing good or bad about the makeup, so i saw this lipstick (£3.95) and i thought why not! i got it in the colour Cinnamon, which is a little more shimmery than i normally go for but once on the lips it doesn't show!
L to R (Calvin Klein lipstick, Elizabeth Arden lipstick, L'Oreal infailible eye shadow, L'Oreal Colour Riche eye shadow, Bourgeois crayon eye shadow and Max Factor foundation)

I'd love to know have you tried any of these products?

New Boots // Winter Sale

Hello darlings

Recently i've been a bit bargain mad, every since we got our new place and had a baby me and Will (my boyfriend) have been on a tight budget. I had a little nose through the Winter/end of Season sales online and i was on the USC website, i've bought many of my boots from there and have loved every pair i own. I came across these brown Miso Hiker Boots for £14! Which was a total bargain. But now they've gone back to £21 which is still better than half price.
The heels are 2.5inches, perfect for every day, They are comfortable and i love the colour, i don't own any brown boots so when i saw these i was so pleased. Overall i love them! What do you think?

L'Oreal glam shine stains // Bargain time

Hello Darlings

Today post is my bargain of the week! I popped into my local pound shop, after my last visit i got some real bargains (post) i thought i'd see what was in there this week and to happiness there were loads of these L'Oreal Glam Shine Stains! I remember a few years ago when they were a blogger favourite so i decided to pick two up.
I picked up two shades Lolita (pink) and Juliet (red). There was the shade Marilyn which i had see many bloggers rave about but in person is was too Barbie pink for me and i knew i wouldn't get much wear out of it. When i got them home it took me a second how to open them, you unscrew them from the bottom but apart from that the packaging is gorgeous! Its a lovely rose gold colour, packing is a big thing for me when buying products.
I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of lip gloss i'm definitely a matte lip kind of gal but i decided to give it ago. To my pleasant surprise the product isn't sticky like i was expected, its thick and creamy. I love the applicator it applies the product evenly, not hugely pigmented but neither most lip glosses. i think i'm just so use to liquid lipsticks (aren't we all!) But at the same time its not the worst pigment, the more you layer it the more colour you get. Its surprisingly long lasting! And does leave a little colour to the lips once it has faded.
The only thing i don't like is the smell but i can't tell if thats me being fussy or if the products were sitting in a wherehouse for a long time and are just old. I think my favourite is Lolita as its a very good everyday nudey pink shade. But i do think that the shade Juliet is a great one for people who aren't brave enough to wear a red lipstick.

I'd love to know have you tried any of this Glam Shines?
Or have you found any bargains lately?

My pound shop bargains!

Hello darlings

Today i thought i'd make a little bargains post, i recently went into the Pound Shop to buy a drink and i thought i'd have a little look at their makeup, i'm a beauty blogger how could i resist? Normally i don't find much that i'd be interested in so i didn't have high hopes. But boy was i surprised my local pound shop had some decent branded makeup in good colours! I controlled myself and only bought things i'd be interested in not just because it was a pound and it was there. So picked up three items, two from Max Factor and one from L'Oreal
First up is this pencil eyeliner from Max Factor. this is just a simple brown eyeliner, in the shade Khaki, i did need a new one as my MUA one is nearly all gone, so finding this was perfect timing. Its soft and creamy and applies nicely. But it isn't easy to blend, once its on its on! It is VERY long lasting, it took days to come off my hand (swatched below) but on the eye it does come over with Micellar water.
Next up i bought a single eye shadow also from Max Factor in the shade '03 Metallic Brown'. This is my kind of shade, its very similar (if slightly darker) to my favourite eye shadows 'Taupe It Off' by benefit and 'Suspect' from Urban Decay. Similar to the eye liner its creamy and very pigmented. It blends lovely and it is long lasting. Next time i will see if there are any other shades in the shop!
Lastly i bought the L'Oreal nail polish in the shade 'Burgundy Diva'. I have to admit i have a hundred nail polishes like this one, deep purples and red are my go to nail colours but this was so small and cute i needed it! Its not very season appropriate but i just love this colour so much. I haven't worn it myself yet but i painted my friends Claire's nails with this and it looks stunning.

Overall i'm really happy with my new products!
I'd love to know have you found any bargains recently?
