Jackson Reece Herbal Wipes

Hello darlings.

Sorry i haven't posted for a week, my new house doesn't have wifi so i haven't been able to post. I'm at my parents house for the day so i'm using their wifi to upload that why i'm posting on a Sunday instead of my usual Tuesday and Friday. Jackson Reece very kindly contacted me a month ago and asked me if i would be interested in testing out some of their baby products and with the amount of baby wipes i'm getting through with Isaac of course i said yes. Jackson Reece are a brand that creates herbal baby wipes for children with eczema and sensitive skin, hypoallergenic and demagogically approved. Both on their packets and website (link) list all their natural ingredients. Which is great that they are so open with everything thats is in their wipes, Its important that parents know what they are putting on their babies skin, after all your babies health is your main concern. More brands should do this.

I was sent two packs of baby wipes, herbal and natural. A pack of nose wipes and some antibacterial hand spray/gel. The packaging is so cute! It makes the brand stand out in the shops compared to many other baby/own brands.
The two packs of baby wipes i tried were natural and herbal (£1.60). They are designed especially for very sensitive skin, Isaac at birth had dry skin and a rash. but even if your baby doesn't have eczema or any skin complaints all baby skin is precious and sensitive as its brand new! Using these wipes i didn't find any sign of rash or irritation, so the sudorem was put away for a while. Very wet unlike a lot of wipes on the market. They left Isaac's skin super so soft. They are parabean free and organic. And as a vegetarian and a mum who ise using organic when she can this pleases me greatly. The herbal ones i'm not a fan of the scent although it does claim they are fragrance free. Its a very herbal smell as you'd expect, quite lavendery. .
The next product i tested was nose wipes (£1.99), these area great idea, i've never seen this type of product.I have only used a couple on Isaac as hes still very young and hasn't really had a bad cold yet so there have been no use for them, but they are handy for in the future, so they have been put away. Lastly anti bacterial hand gel (unknown price). Every parent needs this, its always important to clean your hands before and after you touch baby and this little tube is great for on the go. Fast drying and i love the scent!
I'm so happy all of these products are organic they are such a great idea and i'm look forward to using more in the future. I found you can buy them in Boots, John Lewis, Tesco, Amazon and Mothercare. Or you can purchase them from their website. (link)

*These products were sent to me but all opinions are my own.

I'd love to know have you tried these wipes?

Budget Beauty Haul: #1 Fragrance Direct

Hello darlings

Recently i've been a little obsessed with online shopping but as Christmas is coming up and i've got a baby on the way i know i need to save the pennies! Similar to lots of people at the moment so i've been trying to find great deals online and save myself a little but of cash. So i'm going to add to my little bargain series and include hauls to it as well and places/websites to get great deals!

The first one is Fragrance Direct, i'd heard of this website a couple times as Miss Budget Beauty mentioned it is the site where she gets her Essie Nail polishes from so i finally decided to check it out and i found so really good items.
I'd been wanting to try some products from Charles Worthington for a while but they always seemed so expensive and i didn't want to part with the money. And when i finally did some of the products i wanted weren't stocked in Boots anymore.  I picked up:
Charles Worthington Shine Booster Conditioner // £2.99
Charles Worthington Split End Blinder // £2.99
Charles Worthington Heat Defense Spray // 99p
As mentioned previously Miss Budget Beauty said this is where she got a few of her Essie Polishes from. I love Essie Nail polishes and when i saw they had them for £2.99 i knew i had to grab a couple!
Essie Nail Polish in Thigh High //£2.99
Essie Nail polish in Tying the Knoite // £2.99
L'Oreal Colour Riche Nail Polish in 205 // 99p
I also picked up a couple of makeup items too. I'm a big fan of winged liner so i stocked up and there was a blusher and concealer that caught my eye too.
Max Factor Concealer in Fair (Only note its not fair! Its quite dark) // £3.95
Maybelline Master Liner // £1.99
BC Cosmetics Blusher Quad // 99p
Bourjois Felt Liner // £2.99
I'm always in need of more brushes (i terribly lazy at washing them so i just keep buying cleans ones, but shhh!) So i picked up this Technic Blending Brush // £1.99

Here is the website link

I'd love to know have you ordered from fragrance direct before?
What real bargains have you got lately?

My current Skin Care Routine // Summer

Hello darlings.

I haven't written an updated skin care in the longest time. I have tried and love a lot of new products since my last post and i'm excited to share my new routine with you!
I'll start off with the first step my skin care routine, it is to first take of my makeup. I gave up with using wipes years ago i only use them when i'm travelling or i'm ill or feeling lazy, you know how it goes. I've been a long standing fan of Micellar water an i've tried a few over the years and the one i always go back to is the Garnier one. Its perfect, it dissolves makeup like a dream, no need to rinse and there's no smell or taste to it.

Next up washing my face, an important part! I have suffered with problem skin for quite some time, if you are a regular reader you've heard me say it a million times. One thing that was helping my skin was the contraceptive pill but now i'm pregnant (previous post) i am no longer taking it so my bad skin has come back. So deep action products like this one are really helping my skin. Plus you can always use it as a mask too which is great.

Similar to the previous product this one is aimed at problem skin. This exfoliator is gentle and lathers well. Its s very gentle exfoliator lots i've tried have been too harsh for my dry skin. I have always love Simple's products they are also so gentle on my skin and i think its a great product for teenagers and people with sensitive and spot prone skin.

I review this products a couple months ago, it was my little splurge for finishing my dissertation and i have to say i'm so happy that i purchase it. With this product you do not need a lot, a pump or two goes a long way! The liquid drys fast, it isn't sticky or tacky so its perfect to apply first thing in the morning and to wear under makeup. It provides a smooth base and it is absorbed into the skin quickly. I haven't tried many serums so i don't have much to compare it to but i really like it.

Last of all eye cream. I've only just started using this product but i already love it. Its thick, creamy and rubs in beautifully. I don't think this product work miracles, it brightens eyes but i wouldn't say it helps with wrinkles if i'm honest. But as an everyday eye cream its pretty good!

I'd love to know have you tried any of these products?

My Minimal Current Skin Care Routine I Perfect Fixations

Hello darlings.

I'm gonna put my hands up and say recently i've been very lazy with my skin care routine, I either forget to use anything or suddenly rush and use all my products (which is a lot) at once which probably explains why recently i have terribly breakout (among stress and hormones) so i've cut out a lot of the products that i feel are either not doing anything or drying out my skin, or i've just had for way too long and are mostly likely past they recommended expiry date. I've narrowed down my skin care routine to 3 products, a moisturiser, a micellar water and exfoliator.
I hope you enjoy :)
I have quite dry skin especially on my forehead, nose and chin (where i get my breakouts) so each night after i've taken off my makeup i put a light layer of this all over my face just to give it that extra moisture that it desperately needs at the moment.

I've only just started using this, i'm trying to get out of the habit of using wipes to take off my makeup. I've used a few different micellar waters over the past year or two and this one is so far very good (i've recently bought the full size bottle that i will mention in a haul coming soon! so look out for that :))

Lastly, this is my favourite exfoliator (post) the texture is not to rough, but not non existent, it foams nicely and the smell i gorgeous, really orangery and leaves my face feelings lovely.

I'd love to know what is your skincare routine?
Do you recommend any products?
Have you tried any of these products?

August Favourites 2015 I Perfect Fixations

Hello darlings.

Its been a while since i did a monthly favourites, i missed June and July, but this month there have been a few next products i have been loving so i was really excited to write this post.
I hope you enjoy :)

As you guys know i have quite long hair, not as long i use to have but still long enough that i have to make an effort to keep it in as best condition as i can, for this i used hair masks, they are quick and easy and a sustainable method for me. I've had my fair few of them over the years, the latest one i've been enjoying is The Superdrug Coconut Water and Coconut Oil Masque, coconut oil is great for your hair and in a masque is brilliant making it easier for me to remember to use.

Next up is my Garnier Micellar Water, i bought a small travel size to being with as i didn't know if i was going to like this or if it would be the same as my other micellar waters and honestly it is, there's not much difference, except it doesn't sting my eyes which is brilliant like some of the others micellar water do when removing eye makeup. I am enjoying this and will buy the full size when it runs out.

Maybelline Lash Sensational is no secret to the blogging community, famous for being a dupe for the Benefit Roller Lash (which i LOVE) i think this is a great drugstore alternative, the wand is great for getting into the lashes and giving volume and length and i love the packaging, its so sleek.

Lastly, brows, i've been trying out a couple of new brow products these past few month and the I Love Makeup, Brow Kit is really good, the lightest brown is perfect for a natural look for those days when i'm keeping ti more casual and going for the 'no makeup look'

Thats it for this month another month has gone so fast, i can't believe it is now September, how crazy is that! I'd love to know what some of your August favourites are? What products have you been loving?

My Current Wishlist: Autumn 2015 I Perfect Fixations

Hello darlings.

I'm sorry its been a while, i've nearly finished my summer course and i've just come back from my holiday to Turkey, which was amazing and i will be doing a post all about that soon! :) Now on to today's post, its my current wishlist, i've never done one of these before, and i have been a a bit of a makeup hiatus recently, so there are a few new items i want!
I hoe you enjoy :)

Dolce and Gabbana 'The One'
(Picture Source and where you can purchase)
I smelt this fragrance when i was in Debenhams a while back and its still on my mind, its a gorgeous scent and i'm hoping if i hint at it for a while i might get it for my Birthday (which is in November) so fingers crossed!

Kate Moss Nude Lipstick '45'

(Picture source and where you can purchase)
When i saw Kate Moss had realised a nude lipstick collection i knew i had to have a look, as nudes are so simple to wear on a daily basis, the only one that stood out was number 45, the others are too pale for me and would give me the dead lips look, which i don't really want. This one is a lovely deep pink-nude that i think is very flattering.

MUA Bronze and Sculpt in 'Light'
(Picture source and where you can purchase)
I've not really been in contouring and have never been very good at it but i have decided that will change, and one sculpting kit i really want to try is the MUA Luxe one, this is only £5 and i've heard nothing but good things about it!

MAC Lipstick in 'Brave'
(Picture source and where you can purchase)
I always wanted to try MAC's Velvet Teddy but after i tried it in store i realised it didn't suit me and i realise it doesn't suit a lot of people, but brave i tried and really like and regret now buying it there and then.

The Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection 'Blush Brush'
(Picture source and where you can purchase)
These brushes are the most beautiful brushes i have ever seen, i especially like the blush brush, the colour and the texture are amazing and i really want the all but for now i'll settle for the blush one!

Black Ripped Skinny Jeans
(Picture source and where to buy it)

Lastly i've been looking for a good pair of ripped black skinny jeans for the longest time, i'm short and have quite big hips so buying jeans for me isn't the easiest. I spotted this on the New Look website and they are exactly what i am looking for, they are ripped but not too much and they look a nice shape, so hopefully i can find them in store so i can try them.

So that my current wishlist, i'd love to know what is on yours? What items have you had your eye on?

May Favourites 2015 | Perfect Fixations

 Hello darlings.

I'm sorry i haven't posted for a while, i've just had a lack of inspiration and too much uni work, but now i've officially finished all my exams and essays and now i can enjoy summer! Today i have for you my May Favourites, i have a couple of products that i have been really loving this month, a few you will have seen on my blog before and a couple of new goodies!
I hope you enjoy :)
First up is Revlon's Suede Lipstick in 'Socialite' I really love this suede lipstick, its goes on creamy and then drys matte, plus they are long lasting, so perfect for a long days! Which has come in handy this month with long uni days. Kate Moss Lipstick in '08' This is a lovely nude brown, very 90's, as i said in my Lip of the week #11 i almost want to say 'Kylie Jenner'. Its creamy and really pigmented, plus it smells like vanilla, which is always good in my books! Next is a new product i purchased, NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in 'Sunny' This is a Beautiful bronzer thats not orange, its a little darker than other bronzers i own but with the glorious weather i feel i need a darker one as i'm starting to get more tanned. Garnier Moisture Nourish Moisturizer, this past year my skin has gone from combination to super dry so i'm always looking out for a good moisturizer, this month i've been using this Granier one and i really like it, its creamy and really moisturizing, and fast drying.  Lastly is L'Oreal Skin Perfection Exfoliator I recently wrote a review of this exfoliator (here) It has the most wonderful peachy smell. It has a nice texture, very small grains, not too rough when you rub them in. It hasn't dried my skin out, which i find can be a problem with exfoliators. Overall i really like this exfoliator and its definitely my favourite product this month.

I'd love to know have you tried any of these products?
What are some of your May favourites?

Hello darlings

Today's post was going to be my fist ever empties but when i was looking thought the bag of products i have been collecting over the last few months, i noticed there was duplicates and i thought why not do a little post on what i have continued to repurchase. There must be a reason why i have kept buying them? I thought this would be more interesting. Let me know what you think and i might make it into a little series :)
I hope you enjoy.
Simple Replenishing Moisturizer: This is one of my favourite moisturizers, its light weight, fasting drying and fragrance free. The perfect everyday moisturizer. Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder: This is quite a heavy powder, its really good for oily skins. I especially love this powder for the summer when i am super oily as during the winter my skin goes the complete opposite. Skin why can't you make your mind up?!? Collection Extreme Mascara: One of the best budget mascaras on the high street hands down. The wand is the perfect size, it gives length and volume, and its only £2.99! MUA Undress Your Skin: This foundation is light on the skin, its long lasting, and great value. Plus it travel friendly! (And they are usually on offer) Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer: This is no secret to the beauty community, it is the best concealer i have ever had, its great for pale skins, it has great coverage and long lasting. The perfect concealer. Lastly Nivea Essential Lip Care: Its the essential lip balm! Basic but wonderful, these little beauties have seen my through the winter.

One good thing is they are all pretty budget friendly, so not too expensive to keep repurchasing.

My Current Hair Care Routine October 2014

Hello darlings

Today i have for you my current hair care routine. I really enjoyed making a post about my everyday makeup so i thought i would do one for my hair as its another type of post i love reading on other people's blogs! My hair routine rarely changes, i have pretty regular/ordinary hair so there isn't any magical special product i use. (I wish there was!)

I'll start off with shampoo and conditioner. At the moment i'm using the TRESemme luxurious mostiure range, i'm really liking this as i feel because my hair is quite long it gets dry quite easily so its nice to just give it that little extra help to stay in the best condition it can.

Another of my favourite ways to keep my hair healthy and in good condition is the Dove 'damage solutions' hair mask. I'm a massive fan of face masks so i was thrilled when i found out you can get them for your hair too! I think they are brilliant in keeping your hair in good condition all you do it put it in your hair for about 5 minutes i a week or ever 2 weeks and then your hair is so soft. I highly recommend this is you hair damaged hair from bleaching or heat styling.

Next up hair spray that i am currently loving is the TRESemme salon finish extra hold. I find its great at keeping my curls in and doesn't leave that horrible hardness that quite a lot of hair spray do.

How could i leave out dry shampoo it is a girls best friend and of course it has to be Batiste. This is my favourite scent its the Cherry one :)

I hope you enjoyed reading this, let me know what hair care products you've been loving. I love finding new products.

My Everyday Makeup October 2014

Hello darlings.

Today i thought i'd share with you how i've been doing my makeup recently. This is the look i've been wearing to work or to University.
I hope you enjoy.

Starting with base:

Foundation: Bourjois Healthy Mix, my all time favoruite foundation, it is my perfect colour match (along with Revlon's Colour Stay) with the right amount of yellow undertones but yet its still pale enough! And the smell is lovely.
Concealer: Maybelline Fit Me concealer, this is a product that i haven't had long but am really enjoying (review coming soon)
Powder: I'm sticking with a favourite of mine, Seventeen Miracle Stay Matte Powder I love this powder, its at keeping me matte all day, which is good when you work long hours of have a lot of lecturers!
Blush: I mentioned this product in my September favourites (link) MUA blush in 'Cupcake' I've been loving this blush, it so subtle that it perfect as i tend to be quite heavy handed.
The real shock is no bronzer! I'm giving it a break at the moment, i'm trying something new. But don't worry it shall return.

Eyes:

Eyebrows: I've been using The Naked Palette to do my eyebrows, i found the shade 'Buck' is perfect.
I've also been using The Naked Palette for my everyday eyeshadow as well, its a great selection so i can do slightly different looks each day.
Collection Extreme Liquid Eyeliner, my number one favourite eyeliner, i find its perfect for doing a thin line quickly.
Again sticking with an old favourite, Max Factors 2,000 calorie mascara. I highly recommend this mascara if anyone is looking for a new one, the brush, the formula and the packaging is perfect.
Lastly i line my waterline with a MUA white eyeliner pencil. This just opens my eye and makes me look more awake!

Lips
Lastly lipstick, one of my favourite lipsticks Revlon pearl lipstick in Blushing Mauve' Its perfect and subtle and suits almost all skin tones. Its the 'my lips but better look'

And ta da.....

I hope you enjoyed reading this. I'd love to know what makeup products you're loving at the moment?

Products I’ve been loving.

January.

  •  Vaseline, essential moisture body lotion. It makes my skin feel really smooth :) it smells really nice and doesn't dry my skin out.
  •  Nivea body lotion. I have been using this for years, I feel it’s perfect for light moisturising and it dry’s quickly leaving skin soft and smooth.
  •  Batiste dry shampoo. Dry shampoo is a must have, I find the batiste products smell amazing and come in a range of different scents. And it long lasting, affordable and doesn't show up on your hair in random white patches!
  • Superdrug own brand, lemon and tea tree shower gel. Smells amazing! And have a nice creaming feeling to it.
  • Veet, hair minimising body moisturiser. I usually use this product in the summer when I have my legs more on display but I still use it a couple times a week. Although it leave my legs and under arms incredibly smooth I find it doesn't slow down the process of hair regrowth.
